I like your way of thinking. I once saw a video on a homemade camera that used printing paper from a printer camera like this one:ua-cam.com/video/IL0ovHwRJU4/v-deo.htmlsi=YrhTODuhn-8E-Vjk to project onto a big screen. Think he used an LED light source. So stop motion. Receipt paper rolls cost next to nothing. Don't know the name of that youtuber.

@@chriscard6544 what I tried was using prints from a thermal printer and use them for cyanotype printing. It worked perfectly well. So bypassing the traditional methods. The quality of the camera prints is not too bad for such a cheap and fast print (in dot mode). It looks grany and gives a lot of shadowy goodness. I love black&white. They should build a proper camera with a big lens and high dpi printer. Perfection.

@@chasingfreedom83 but that can't be fixed in half an hour. This is fast and easy. But you guys give me a stellar idea for my next video on this subject. I will make one with the original lens/ bellows. I got some old digital cameras I can sacrifice.

@benikum-5169 I understand. But that's not an 'easy' way is it? 30 min won't be enough. This is plug and play and works 100%. I wanted to implement an old digital camera into a analog camera. I also thought about going the Raspberry pi route. But that is a bit more difficult. Probably I will 3D print an insert with a Pi and battery for a 35mm camera. But this video at least gets the discussion going.

@@olio_benzina not really, bellows bad, paint chipping inside, shutter didn't work, trapdoor stuck. Dented. Paint flaking off. I use the lens for a 3D print camera. I love cameras but some are far beyond repair.

Yea, I actually had an explanation in this video on why a camera enthousiast like my self would do this to an old vintage camera. But I left it out. The bellows were shot, the gate didn't open/close, the back (inside) was chipping paint, and the shutter release button was broken. So I gave it a new life. The lens will go to my 75mm 3D printed camera (seemy other video:ua-cam.com/video/D7MSB2rr0Uo/v-deo.htmlsi=NTCfoWBHxSdNPdqM). I know I should wait, but I like photography way too much.

@@sneeuwwolf1176 i have a lot of folding cameras that have seen better days. I was looking at using some of the lenses on a graflex, but those 3d designs look really good too. Definitely got me thinking

@@AderinsolaOla-James I don't think so. I mean if you cut them to size and place a piece of paper in shot after shot, yes obviously. But as a paper roll I don't see how it can work. I mean 120 rolls use a plastic winding core that is reusable but Aps is not reusable I think? And the Aps camera can't handle slow shutterspeeds and bulb mode I presume? You need a way to control the shutterspeed. 120 camera's are cheap 9-15 euros. So I suggest going that route.

Bear in mind that I presumed that you don't own a LF camera. And I made the video specifically for viewers who are interested in owning a cheap DIY camera that works very well.

@@felixdesacco5112 that depends. Ilford says 5 if i'm not mistaken. But I think 3 is closer to the truth for Ilford RC pearl.

@@7907-u8h well I read on some forums that the Neo2 is the best. And Neo 1 still beats the 3000. The keyboard is better on the Neo. I think the Neo 1 and Neo 2 are both amost the same and they are super nice writind devices. I loooove them. Even compared to modern day keyboards: the Neo's keyboard is good for drafting/writing.
