Testing Meshy AI: Can it generate an animated Donald Trump 3D character model?
Meshy AI allows users to generate 3D models based on prompts or images. You can texture the model different ways, and add rigging and animations. You can create models with a free account, but need to pay for animations and rigging. However, you could rig and animate the models in Mixamo for free. Pretty amazing! (this is not sponsored by Meshy, I'm trying it out for myself). Anyhow, I've been goofing around with some models from the Unreal 5.5 VR Megalophobia project, and seeing if Meshy will generate models based on real people. Yes, apparently!
Music by Suno, most models by Meshy, some animations by Mixamo, Starship model by me.

Unreal 5.5 VR Tutorial for Beginners: Episode 6 Bonus: 3-Color Landscape Node (Easier)

This video is an addendum to the previous lesson on node-based landscapes. Apparently there is a Lerp_3Color node, which is simpler than using a regular Lerp as we did in the previous video. It works slightly differently, so if you're interested check it out. There's a dancing Yeti and more clover. Unreal 5.5 License Changes & Goodbye Quixel Megascans assets! Free on Fab until 2025, then Cost $
Переглядів 1603 місяці тому
This is my current understanding of changes to the Unreal license agreement for version 5.5. On top of that, it seems all the Epic/Quixel Bridge/Megascans assets will be moved to a site called Fab, where they'll be free in 2024, then you'll have to buy them in 2025. This is not legal advice, I'm not an expert, do your own research!

High thank you for this series I'm trying to do something similar to your project but I've ran into an issue where when I scale my creature to giga size its skin and other textures stretch I'm making the creature grow using animations while it gets bigger. Is there a way for to dynamically keep the texture's from stretching while it gets bigger? Trying to maintain the details of the texture as it gets huge!

@Great video thanks - the new Fab licensing model is crazy and vendors are jumping on the bandwagon... some asset developers have used it to literally tripple their prices overnight for the pro license!! An issue is that, if I own a bunch of "personal" licensed assets an one of my my games/projects secures an investor or crowdfunding that suddenly puches me past 100K - I now have to go back and upgrade all of my licenses to pro!! (the license says "revenue OR funding in the last 12 months") thus eating into the much needed funding that was just secured... almost a case of saying to a funder "that is very king of you but could you drop that down to $99.9k". Also it is likely that if an asset that was bought as personal, it might not even have been used in that or any other project at all yet.... but as soon as any, even unrelated, project takes you past that amount, it will invalidate all of the other personal licenses you own.... even those that played no part in getting you there! Also, I already own a LOT of assets that were bought on the Unreal Marketplace, my library has been carried over to Fab but what licensing have they applied to the assets I had already purchased ? if they have defaulted the existing purchases to "personal" then that has changed the terms of sale ?

I had one of these years ago, and used it on a bunch of projects. It does work, and it’s a good intro to overlockers. After you’ve had your fun, do yourself a favor and get a used ‘real’ serger with knives, differential feed, and a second needle so you can spread your wings.

Good question! I have heard that painting AFTER assembly is a good idea, because the structure is already fitted together and won't warp. However, then it is more difficult to paint the nooks and crannies of the interior. Another idea is to use spray adhesive to affix decorative paper to the walls, instead of painting. It is the water in paint (and uneven wetness) that causes warping. You could try clamps or weights to hold the board flat while drying. As I recall, it was the large wall pieces that warped, but I did manage to muscle them together in the end. 😆Good luck!

You seem to be UA-cam's attempt at AI comments, or you're a hired hack who didn't watch the video. I state quite clearly that it's not my art, it's an app. I'm not an artist. You are praising the color choice and "original style" of a programmed algorithm. And what "style" are you referring to -- the whole point of the video is that this app produces a variety of different styles. It's like you are grabbing words from a spreadsheet to fill in Mad Libs, in adjective-adjective-noun format: "Really unique stuff," "very bold colors," "extremely original style," with no reference to anything specific. But thanks for trying, better luck next time. (Also, I don't need "luck" with my channel -- I'm not trying to grow it or get subscribers) 🙃
