I have the smaller version of the mixer, and other than having to occasionally push the rod back in, it works great. I stopped buying soda's and use those little drink mix packets and mix them in a glass (I'm not a fan of PLASTIC water bottles). I use mine SEVERAL times a day and it will run for a couple of weeks before it needs new batteries. Those under cabinet lights (I have a different version but works the same) make AWESOME night lights!! I bought several and mounted the to the tops of my door frames in my apartment. I can go to the bathroom at night and never have to turn on a light!!
