I feel like the hinderer eklipse is leaps and bounds better than the xm-18. More ergonomic, look better, just an all around better knife and it’s the same exact size.

Patiently waiting for a manual version of that or if something hand ground comes, then I’m getting one. I may jump on one soon just to have it in a spur of the moment purchase. Feel better Scott

Zt should turn the tables and copy China..”civivi”. They make the best button locks by far. Never any blade play, 100% solid lock up no matter how much you pull on it or use it. A lot of companies would be better off to copy their geometry.

Hopefully showing that slicer means that Hinderer is making some 3.0’s that aren’t harpoon tanto

I ordered me one the other day hasn’t come in yet. Looks like ZT version of the Malibu. I love my Malibus so I expect I’ll love this. I actually traditionally like drop point blades more than warncliffe and Reverse tanto. I’m curious to see if I’ll like this more than the Malibu. I doubt it. The Malibu and Sonora are my favorite knives. But this is my first zero tolerance ever bought. I tend to like edc knives that are strong but not overbuilt. My thought is if I need an overbuilt knife I’ll go with my buck onset or a fixed blade. I’m excited to get the ZT in hand. A little overpriced in my opinion but so is the Malibu once u get away from their plain aluminum models. I’m also a professional sharpener and other than the machine wise Sonora or oddly enough the sanrenmu/ land 910, haven’t had any brand new knife come with a great factory edge. So I’m curious to see how the ZT factory edge is. I will say also any spyderco I’ve bought came with a knice factory edge.

Hoping for a DLC version! Or maybe a stonewash! Love my 0562Ti, this would be a nice compliment!

The lanyard hole and that weird thumb cutout for lockbar access ruins the lines. I'm just being honest. But other than those 2 negatives, the knife looks great but definitely not for me. If he removed that dumb lanyard hole (nobody puts lanyard on their knives in 2025) and that cutout was reduced to gentle contouring, you would have a BANGER.

Great video, definitely helpful in showing and explaining the different finishes available. I'm definitely sold on the Battle Blue and Battle Bronze. I'm determined to score an XM_ Spanto this year, just debating XM-18 3.5 (fatty, I think) vs XM-24. I'm leaning toward Battle Blue w/ matching hardware and maybe a micarta scale.

I already had a McNees Agent, I'd just bought a coupla Half Face Blades Crow Jrs, and I had my sights on a quality hard use folder. I was looking at Microtech's Socom Bravo and Chris Reeve's Sebenza or Umnumzaan. Then, I saw the McNees MAC2 PM SWERVE. With a tanto blade and green/purple scales, there's NO WAY way I'd buy anything OTHER than this masterpiece of American made cutlery. Plus, it's made in ALABAMA! SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! There's a new sheriff in the knife making world; his name is Jonathan McNees!

I just got one! My 5th SHF purchase in the last 2 months :) I am curious, did you consider anodizing the pivot? I feel like that was a tiny bit of a missed opportunity (i.e. note the cool work on the Ronin Tactics one). This is a GREAT knife (regardless of design). Some flip great, some are more deliberate. I've been wanting to make a USA MB purchase for a while and, in particular, to get a squatch blade. Very pleased. 🤩 (love the little ghost squatch on the pocket clip)

Esse 4 tactical is way cheaper. I don't care about magnacut. The sheeth is nice but try putting it handle forward to draw faster.
