    The first Madden on PS3 was a skeleton that did it no favors. The Ridge Racer game was 1080p and 60FPS, and this is all a bad start to your guess work. Air Combat is the first game in the Ace Combat series. Raiden Project was the first two games, and that second one was a showpiece if you were still looking for 2D arcade shooters. Super Thunderblade was poison, even by the low standards of arcade sprite scaling games without arcade sprite scaling. Look up the Japanese launch for an F- that wrecked any chances it had of replacing the PC Engine in their hearts - it played a huge part. Circle of the Moon was either one of the greatest launch games or one of the worst, depending on whether you can see it. No opinions on it was a bit disappointing. Kung Fu has lots of ports. It doesn't have many at the NES level of quality, and especially not back then. The King Kong movie game was by the same guy who made Rayman, and he was both requested by name, and given creative freedom... a shame the 360 port didn't retain all the best parts of the previous generation. Kong isn't as expressive, and the new actor models were unfortunate...

    Wasn't expecting much, but your deep dive on a Pico game and a quick tour of the 1st Lego Island was unexpectedly rewarding. Your podcast recommendation was one I'd never find on my own...or even think to look for. You have a good chemistry and no dead air. All in all, the perfect replacement for the audio bore worm insanity of the second PSP Lego Indy adventure. Cheers.

    I don’t think I’ve seen a more overhyped game than H2 tbh. MAYBE the Harry Potter one. This game has the depth of a puddle. The community is fun. The devs seem to care. Unfortunately, this game will not and cannot draw you in for a prolonged period of time. There just isn’t enough substance there.

    • @thediver7187

      Tons of people just want a game they can hop on and play every couple days and play with friends. Since HD isn’t super in depth like you say I argue it is far more accessible for people who only hop on every 1-2 weeks.

    • @KingDeuces22
      @KingDeuces22 7 місяців тому

      @@thediver7187 That’s probably true, yeah, but if the main selling point of a game is “You will enjoy this game more the less you play it,” then it’s just not that good of a game. The real selling point to me is the player base. The game is pretty mid but I do think it will do well so long as the energy and drive of the community keeps it afloat. Once it becomes routine, or min/maxed to hell and back, it’ll die. That’s what my fake crystal ball tells me anyway 😂.

      It may be repetitive but i absolutely fell in love with its gameplay loop. Plus everything, from the gun sounds, to the animations, the stratagems, the gore, makes up for such a satisfying experience no other game can achieve. And it's co-op!! Helldivers made me realise how much i ve poisoned myself with pvp games over the years. Finally a game where I can just have fun, with little to no toxicity. I dropped it for a couple of months cause yeah sure doing the same stuff over and over again gets tiresome after a while, but Ive come back to it now and with the small additions they implemented, like a few more enemies and mission types the game feels fresh again. You aren't forced to come back to the game every so often in fear of missing out, because there isn't that constant annoying grinding with limited time battle passes and such. Modern games have become a chore and playing them feels more like an obligation. Helldivers stands out above the rest and deserves all the praise it's received

    These tier lists are hard to navigate and the transcript does not work. I was searching the GOAT, te PC Engine, but could not find it. Your Nintendo taste was really particular. Gamecube is ugly, nothing should be silver painted, and the N64 looks like it is from V-tech and the controller is obnoxious. The NES on the other hand is a true classic. The US SNES is F-tier, same as US TG16. And I do like the Wii. Nice minimalist aesthetic, also the controllers look cool. Another favourite is the PS2 slim. And don't forget the absolute awesomeness of the Vectrex and the Videopac G7200.

  • @lovemadeinjapan
    @lovemadeinjapan 8 місяців тому

    TotK S-tier? Come on, it has friggin Andrew Tate as Link. "The great Himbo adventure". It is very bad for boys and gives them a nasty distorted reality of the human body. Go Wind Walker instead, the I have no idea what gender Link is cute-m-up. But the real and only S-tier is not a NIntendo Zelda, it is Neutopia II by Hudson soft. It came out just before LttP and it has some of the simplicity of the first NES game, but then looking very polished with the most astonishing chip tune music of any RPG.

  • @lovemadeinjapan
    @lovemadeinjapan 8 місяців тому

    How can you guys miss out on the GOAT. The best cartridge ever designed? The PC Engine HuCard! No stickers but quality direct print, small, art well visible inside the console, reliable. I also miss the cool Handle-Cartridges from the Videopac. And OK, I understand you do aesthetics, but a bit of functionality is part of the cartridge "design". So giving the NES cartridge an S-tier is total bullocks. With 9 out 10 insertions the console won't boot. The connector is the worst of the worst of the worst. NES carts are unreliable as heck.

      Poor optimization, bugs ,constant loading screens, very bland exploration, base building is nowhere near as fun as it was in fallout 4, boring ai, kinda meh rpg mechanics. It's a weak product considering it doesn't really deviate from other titles, it's space Skyrim/Fallout but worse. I liked the ship building, and the gun costumization, the shooting feels alright but most guns are kinda unoriginal, the space fighting is fun, and some quests were fun. People are allowed to criticize games , and we should. I can just reply the nobody gives a shit that you liked the game and we get nowhere. If we all point out the problems (useful criticism) we can sometimes make the developers actually listen to us and improve the games we are passionate about, which is a much better solution than just "I liked the game shut up everyone that complains" you're one of the reasons big studios keep doing the bare minimum on game development.

      Correction, YOU don't care to hear people talk about starfield cause YOU BELIEVE it's a good game when if you look at all the objective comparisons to games that they made them selves almost over a decade ago it shows just how lazy this game was. If you think starfield was worth your time you're just delusional i'm afraid, enjoy your outdated space skyrim skin

I'd think those games are fine for kids past a certain age. "I turned out fine" so... 😅 D&B's is fun, even as a 40+ year old retro gamer.
