I wish to go there one day
I really enjoyed watching this. It's very poetic. And yet, I can't help but wonder if all these people wished to be filmed. I have seen many videos and documentaries recently, in preparation for a trip to India I am planning and I have a lingering sadness related to film makers and UA-camrs who seem to not even bother asking people if they're ok being broadcasted to the world. There is an older lady in this documentary that, to me, looked liked she did not wish to be filmed... why not respect that? Or, better yet, ask beforehand?
Don’t worry, i am not a hunter but i really love the people i take pictures of. Many i know since years. The old lady you thought who disliked to get broadcast to the world included. It used to be a play between us. Which she liked and i liked and which gives life to the scene. And nobody gets broadcasted to the world. This kind of films are interesting only to few people like you. It is shown only on this channel. Thanks for your concern. Good to feel sensitive for these wonderful people.🙏
Thanks for clarifying. If that's how it is, it's good to know. On second thought, the feelings I expressed might have been fuelled by other videos I watched before your documentary and when I saw those scenes I mentioned here they were just ready to "come out".. But I don't have any reason to not believe you, so all good.

great video but why the stick the camera infront of mourning family and dead body? is this just a german thing of being emotionally unaware of surroundings and others?
I do not understand what you mean. The scene with the mourning family in front of the dead body just happened out of deep inner silence and total awareness of the mourning family members and has nothing to do with nationalities.
Did you ask permission from the family to take video of them mourning and the dead remains of the departed? Otherwise it's callous and uncaring to the suffering of others. The rest of the video is nice
No how can you ask and talk about taking pictures in this situation. I did not plan to shoot these scenes. It just happened and as you can see there was no unfriendly reaction to my filming. I just can say that my mind was absolutely free of any thoughts and my heart was with the suffering villagers. And they are sensitive to feel what was inside me. Otherwise they would have reacted in some unpleasant way.
@@Markandeyamarsiske if someone is mourning its only natural that they may not react or speak out- particularly to a foreigner with a camera. It's a personal and private moment.
@@Markandeyamarsiske if you can't ask about taking pictures, you can well not stick a camera in someone's face. The other old lady was also saying in Tamil to get out of her face. Would you do such things in Germany? In any culture, it is not acceptable. I am Indian and I can safely say any Indian family would be offended with you pointing a camera at a dead body and those mourning. The only reason they didn't say anything to you was because they were being polite. Ask permission. Always.

Wonderful film jurgen. Captures the spirit of Arunachala. Who was the lady who was experiencing the bliss of Arunachala at 53:55? She appears to be spiritually mature to experience Arunachala so powerfully. Would love to know more about her and other who can experience Arunachala like this. Thanks.

Oh that is a long old story. Dating back to the year 1981. Everything changed i came to Arunachala in a state of desperation. Had lost everything i valued before: my girlfriend, my dog , my habit getting high from smoking. What happened i do not know and how. No not enlightenment, it did not last. Just a few weeks. I became at least totally interested in things i doubted before: Ramana, liberation etc Thanks.
