This job took me around 30 minutes(including filming, which takes much longer). If you watch this video shouldn't take you more than 15-20 minutes. Other videos will be posted soon on the channel. Thank you for watching....

does this need to be earthed?

Hi. The switches themselves have no option for earth. You can do what I did in my case( keep them as they were twisted together) or earthed them all to the metal back box if you have the option to.

I've been at this all night for a smart switch i've installed for exterior lighting for the house. It has 2 neutral (both wired in N) + 2 live wires that i've tried both wiring in L and L1 and simultaneously in other multiple combinations but still no lighting outside. I've left the earth as no place for it similar to your model. Wifi connected to 2Ghz. What am I doing wrong ? :<

Hi.To me it sounds as a 2 way switch. Can turn on and off the same light from other switch? For example the other end of the room or bottom/top of the stairs? If that is the case, will not be funny for you. I did the same mistake first time, don't worry😆you not alone.

@@simplediybyMihai thanks for reply. No this is the sole switch for the front of the house lights. Rear house exterior lights are controlled by a seperate switch

Ok. I tell you what. There are 2 ways this houses work. 1. Permanent live wire to ceiling light(from previous light in series in the house), live wire going out from the ceiling light going to the next light in series, and another 2 Live wires going to the switch( on off). 2. Like in my house : Live from previous switch coming to the switch, Live going to the next switch, and live going to the ceiling light(rose). My opinion, your house is option 1. You have to turn of the electricity for that switch, split the wires as they come into the switch, but make sure non of them are touching any other. After make sure of that, turn on the electricity back on and check if one of the Live wires is permanent live( not with bare hands, obviously 😅). Use proper tools for checking that.
