Cool vid👍 Combines some of my favorite things: - My parents bought a 122S when I was born in 1965. Odd choice for Americans 🇺🇸 back then. It was so good, it was our family's only car for many years (until 1980). - I was an exchange student to Handelshojskoln in Arhus in 1987. - I recall a bike ride in September 1987 to beautiful Silkeborg. Lovely video sparking memories.

Hvor fantastisk det ser ud. Jeg ville så gerne have min ud og triller igen. Havde man været rig var det jo nok ingen problem, men ville nu også gerne være med til at gøre den i stand igen. 23 år siden jeg stillede den hen. Havde ikke regnet med at den skulle stå så lang tid.. Men måske en dag. Men skønt at se nogen stadig kan holde liv dem. Købte mange stumper ved Ulrik i Hammel. kan man stadig få fat i stumperne? Jeg mistede for 4 år siden min Amazon fra 1963 i en brand som startede i naboens værksted og som bredte sig til 5 værksteder + en stor lagerhal det værste ved det hele var at bilen havde jeg arvet efter min farfar som havde haft den fra ny samme år jeg selv så dagens lys første gang. I understand this. Beause Danmark is so over taxed on cars, that you have to drive very old cars. Thats the result of a socialist country. I feel sorry for them. I like the Volvo's.

What year is your Volvo

What was the year range for the majority of the Volvos shown here. They were available as a 2 door, 4 door and wagon. It would also be interesting to find out when the 1940s style 2 door fastback was discontinued.

Very cool cars, as a wagon fan of all makes and models and never see estates at car shows. I'm a chevy person but love these awesome wagons (Estates)

Nice video, thanks for posting 🙂, A fine trail of Amazons indeed, i would never have imagined as a kid when the last ones was built that some fifty years on there would still be many around. Actually, in Sweden it´s far easier to find a nice Amazon than the three-box design 140 series that replaced it. I even know of a few car hoarders that keep some 3-6 around the house. And then you got to consider that most of the remaining are 1962-1970 2 door models, the ones most likely to be hot rodded and thrashed by young guys back in the day, so it´s kind of a wonder so many has survived. You can still spot a few daily drivers any time of the year too, try that with any other car of the same vintage here... oh, maybe the VW Beetle then, but just maybe. The Amazons would still out-do them in numbers. Fun fact: police spec Amazons have slightly larger headllights sourced from a railroad engine of the sixties, at least the ones built for the swedish police.

It's nice to see so many people and their Amazons again this way. Keeps the holiday memories fresh. 🥰

As the owner of a dark blue '67 (UK) that was a great watch. Looks like someone bought the GT wheel? Work under the car to replace broken rubber support rings? I know the problem. Rubber now is rubbish! Some really nice cars there. Switch off your OD!
