This was the Borderlands: Moxxi's Bar Experience, which was promoting the new Borderlands movie (2024). This was during the 2024 San Diego Comic Con. The Moxxi's Bar Experience was setup at the 207 Bar at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel. It was a really fun and cool experience and totally free and included free drinks, we were very impressed! Hi Mark, thanks for watching and for the comment! My great-grandfather was one of the first security guards at Disneyland. During his time working there, he took some 8mm home movies. A few years ago my grandmother gave me some of the 8mm film strips and I had them digitized. I hope you enjoyed watching them!

Hi, thanks for the comment! Most of the 1960s parade footage that I have is in this video. Most of what I left out is of various local marching bands which isn’t Disneyland specific, backstage footage or of the cavalcade of countries. The vintage video as a whole is a bit hard to watch because the original 8mm film isn’t in any kind of sequential order and the digitization is of a pretty low resolution. I have been looking for a company that can digitize the footage at a 4K comparable quality for the aspect ratio; but I am yet to find one. If I can get a better resolution version, I would be happy to try to fix the edit and upload it one day.

Thanks! The container is a Cantomo and is basically a portable safe from the Star Wars universe. Disney sells them at Galaxy’s Edge and occasionally at the Disney Store online if you were interested in getting one. Thanks so much for watching and for the comment!

I would say it was more due to the fact that it was the 11:30 am performance on a Monday. The weekend and afternoon shows probably draw a larger crowd. I had just walked up about a minute before the show started and I was able to be right in the front of the standing area. Despite the small crowd, I felt the performers did great and I really enjoyed the show. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment!

Hi @TAM94114! Thanks so much for watching! Our tour was entirely on foot and didn’t include the Main Street vehicles. I may be misremembering, but I believe at one time they actually did offer a tour dedicated just to the Main Street vehicles. I know for a fact they do a Disneyland Railroad tour, but the train is currently down for refurbishment and probably won’t be back until the trains are running again. They also offer some seasonal tours throughout the year. Our tour guide told us that the guides write and create the tours that are offered, so when you do your tour in November, if they don’t currently offer any vehicle tours; it could be the perfect opportunity to make that suggestion. Hopefully the tour guide thinks it’s a great idea as I do! I would love to take a Main Street vehicles tour! Also, at the time of our tour, they inferred that the upstairs snack area was nearly complete. So by now it should be ready for your tour. But much like the posted wait times for rides, Disney time can be unpredictable. Either way it’s a great tour and I think you will really enjoy it.

@@DogsRBarkin Thanks for the great response! I just want to be sure I include the vehicles on my trip, especially the fire engine since it was so special to Walt. Given it's the start of the holiday season, I would hope that the railroad would be back up and running. I will mention that about the vehicle tour. I'll pop back and let you know it went. I'm also doing the 'holiday time at Disneyland tour' which includes the decorations at both parks and premium seating for the parade. At one point they'd give out a special pin for this tour. I wonder if the personalized name tag replaces that?

@TAM94114 I just checked and the railroad is still closed. I don’t know when it will reopen again, but when they originally announced the closure, they estimated about 3 months. It seems be taking longer than that, but fingers crossed that it will be back by November. Also, make sure not to wait too long to hit the Main Street vehicles since they typically stop running in the afternoon. For example, today’s posted hours for the Main Street vehicles is 8am-2:15pm. Also, the horse drawn vehicles usually stop earlier than that, typically around noon to 1pm, depending on weather, crowds and the horses’ temperament. You might be right about the name tag buttons as we didn’t receive a pin. Disney does like to change things up from time to time, whether we like it or not haha. I hope you enjoy your tour as much as we did! The holiday tour sounds like it’s a lot of fun, I hope to do that one in the future as well. By the way, I took some video footage of riding the fire truck. It’s not the best looking footage and is pretty shaky, but I can post it if it is something you and others would be interested in.
