He portrayed Lefty very closely to the way the real guy was by all accounts I've heard of read. Plus I found him great in Godfather 1 and 2. But you can think he's shitty. If you don't like him in movies you don't like him. I won't even say it's a bad opinion to have because it's pretty subjective.
