Wifeys wish was to have her 40th Birthday in Samoa, at Paddles Restaurant, Must go to 100% beautiful. Giovanni and all the staff all made our night seki az, shared with my Brother In Law Ameto and Mum In Law Laurayn. All our Mothers. The drinks were mean as got to try Basil gin tonic & passionfruit monitor but then realized I had to drive back to LeUaina which is bit of a drive 😄 🤣 😂,

That’s a good time to swim in Sauniatu falls because most waterfalls in Samoa are mostly krenal streams that flows straight down from within basaltic mountains. But when it rains on top of those mountains it can be too risky to swim because of rainfall around the rainforest being mixed with the natural stream which makes most waterfall in Samoa appear massive and aggressive. However the real risk and danger ‼️is that those water are unpredictable if you’re not a local, but for the sake of anyone who’s not aware of it if you’re planning to go to a water in Samoa for a swim always be aware of the rain and the clouds, it’s important to take a little walk to where the stream is following from to get a idea of the location then always look at the mountains are the place or area to make sure it’s not raining there. ‼️ A lot of Samoans and tourists died through out the years from swimming in waterfalls and rivers because either they didn’t know or didn’t think it would happen in a sunny day. Because yes a waterfall or river that be increasingly follow down stream like a typical raining season in Samoa even if it’s a sunny day in a sunny month.
Agree, the waterfalls can be aggressive like you say, you are absolutely right when it rains. It can also be good so its not to dry, but just to be mindful.
