We highly recommend that our new golfers play Operation 36 and learn to get the ball in the hole from 25 yards, then work their way back to a full length golf course. Each hole is a Par 4 and you need to shoot 36 for nine holes to advance to the next level. Level 1: 25 yards Level 2: 50 yards Level 3: 100 yards Level 4: 15...

The Most Important Shot In Golf
Переглядів 1,2 тис.6 місяців тому
It's debatable which shot is the most important in golf. Some say it's the putter because it counts for 40% of our score. "Drive for show, putt for dough." Some think it's the next shot, because we should focus on the present and not past or future shots. Here's a hot take: I think it's the Driver! When you hit a good drive, it makes the rest of the game easier. When the driver isn't working, i...

    I just set up my first golf sim with just a net and mat. Using the ez tee hybrid mat. Having a hard time not getting a solid hit on the ball. I hit to much of the mat. I normally take a divot outside. Anything I can do to fix this. Is it the mat or me?

    • @stephenmentze1579

      Probably means you always hit just little fat on grass. Bryson has a sand drill or a tape drill on a mat to practice low point. Look at brysons hitting lesson he gave Rick Sheils. They do the drill in sand. Perhaps you don’t transfer enough to your lead side

    Hello, I set up a Bushnell launch pro in my garage because I was too embarrassed to play at the golf club I joined. So far I've not improved but will try your method instead of just hitting an 8 iron 50-100 times. I bought a couple of Samsung Galaxy 9s to video my swing but not too happy with those results (hard to use and edit). Man this is a lot harder than I had anticipated!

    I wonder also which breathing techniques they practice, if any. I think slowing down the heart rate by deliberately taking deep breaths before / during the swing is also helpful to loosen up and reduce anxiety.

    I am currently reading Dr Bob Rotella's The Unstoppable Golfer and he states that the pre shot routine should perform a practice swing whilst observing the target at the same time. The practice swing does not need to mirror the shot you are planning to hit. No conscious swing thoughts with the target as a key focus.

    • @juanjonez
      @juanjonez 3 роки тому

      No conscious swing thoughts just focus on the target .. going to make this an intentional part of my pre shot routine on the course today! Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

    After reading through the golf swing strategies , Jοmtοnο Naha (Go ogle it) and finishing it a week ago, I tried out the guide’s ideas on the field. Never imagined that after playing for Three decades, my swinging ability could still be enhanced. In addition to that, the practice exercises also helped tweak some tiny but significant positions that I once thought did not matter.

    Your Wrong bub, Metropolitan golf course in Oakland calif the first hole black and white pole is 111 yds to center of green, 428 yd white tee par 4 the pole is 218 to the green, par 5 the pole is 240 to the green, i think they are alignment marks to aim at from the T box, the 150 marks are white sticks from the OB hazard area.

    • @stosh7120
      @stosh7120 3 роки тому

      He's not wrong. White or wht/black stakes are indeed "typically" used to represent the 150 yd mark to center of the green. Red fairway stajes= 100 and blue fairway stakes= 200. While most courses use the same color schemes with their yardage markers, any course is free to use them for what they wish (except for hazard and OB marks). My guess is the course you mention is using their own system. However, this doesn't make the creator of this video incorrect. By the way, white stakes are also commonly used to mark OB. When being used for OB markings the course is not using those to tell you how far from center of green you are.
