Can we get an update video on the tunnel?
Yes we will be doing a update video. But won't be till Wednesday. We'll have it out soon.
W vid
Thank you. My son is proud of that tunnel.
I love my grand trunk stuff! It’s a Michigan company.. well it was. There is still a old gp38 GT unit in the main yard in flint Michigan
Grand trunk was interesting. I became interested in when my oldest started attending school in Port Huron. Nice place. I didn't know they gp38 still around. Thank you for sharing
@ it’s on the rails at the yard at the i75 and Bristol rd area. Best spot to view is along Bristol rd by the airport and Koegel meats. Saw it 3 days ago
@toddmartin6572 ill be back up there this summer to see my oldest when he graduates. I'll go look for it then.
Nice engine
Thank you brother. Good to hear from again. Been watching your videos as well. Awesome!
Very nice job
Thank you
Great stuff. Hobbies are important for young people. So much to learn and develop skills. Keep up the great work!
Thank you. I do try to continue his learning
Killing me with Brinty Fox.....excellent video..Nothing but the best...can't wait to see the aquanet car next... lol😂😂😂😂 GOD BLESS....
Lol. 😆 🤣 😂
Very unique and interesting!
Thank you. At first it was just for the motors. Then we'll it grew on me. 😆. So now for a rebuild. I've been looking at 1930s era subway cars. Many different styles. Well.see what happens with the rebuild.
Sorry wrong video. But the paint for each one will be of the colors each royal family likes best. Then hms hood and hms arch royal will be in their ww2 paint
That's cool, your son is having fun. Thats neat he is involved with trains.
Yes sir he very much is. Jes been around the trains since he was a baby. He loves airplanes and designing animatronics as well.
MODELTRAINS
Yes my son is very proud of his ho trains. It s a size he likes
pretty cool thanks buddy did you say she was built in 38?
Yes it was built in 1938. The tender is not.its like a 70s tender I think. Came in a parts lot.
Cool project! 💯
And she does run very well.
Thats unusual with one e unit working with both an ac or dc motor. I need to invest in making an electronic e unit fit in tge same spot as the factory e unit. Those badboys would probably sell kike hotcakes. Thanks for the information.
What brand of e unit is that? It doesn't look like a Lionel is why i ask. I wish they made them small enough to retrofit in an old steam engine under the shell
I found it on ebay. I believe I put in lionel electronic e unit or something like that. Look for a seller by the name of jeff volp.
This is an excellent idea!! What is the source of the "tanker"? Is the tanker trailer a 1/48 - 1/50 scale unit? Thanks for the video and sharing your creativity!!
1/48 th scale. Still working on it. That's one of the other projects.
The DL&W, commonly known as the Lackawanna railroad, had a "diesel tender" but not like you have shown. At the time they had "SETS" of diesels, semi-permanently connected by draw-bars because the unions considered coupled locomotives in violation of some agreement that each engine needed a fireman. They had A-B-B-A sets of FTs as well as A-B-A sets. They commonly used these as pushers out of Scranton to Tobyhanna Pennsylvania. If one of the units was down to mechanical failures the whole A-B-A set would be tied up in the shop. This would not do, so they took one of the tenders in better shape from the scrap line in Taylor PA, added some sheet metal to curve up and partially over the top of the tender body, painted it to look like an engine and connected it via a draw-bar to the back of the pusher set so that it could have a working light and coupler at the back of the unit. Many had said that this was the "world's biggest coupler". It was numbered X600. I'll post a copy of some related text and a picture on Google Drive if UA-cam lets me: drive.google.com/file/d/1dnSPUKR86pSPa1toWaM9Eg7eIdnTNsRk/view?usp=sharing Enjoy.
Good stuff
Thank you brother. Lots of projects for 2025.
Cool projects, happy new year!
Thank you. Happy new year to you as well
Thats awesome information interesting .
Thank you. Found this by pure accident

Some liked it some didn't. It was a true old school method for the old tubular track.
Nice cars Norman, never seen any like them.
Theu are actually a British made o scale cars called triang or rovex. Only made from 1960 to 19705. Then brought back 1980 to 1985 by a Russian company.. it's a cool collector items. Including is a hymek class 35 diesel.
Thirty Three times that train went around in circles, and not one time did it slow down or stop so we could look at the cars. Maybe in the future someone will get a better look at them. Nice try though.
The caboose is N DE M??
Yes it is a kitbash I did a while back. I decided to go with a long style caboose. Later it became painted and lettered N.DE.M. they did have long caboose cars. But that was prior to a more modern era. I just did a updated take on it.
did you try to remove the black ties all together and use wood all along the track
On t he very first piece I did yes. Ypu would need track nails to male it right and hold. Later version heels better with the black tie in place. I however did not paint the ties on those sections. I will eventually get around to painting them.
How you like them old school lionels?
It's got heart. Just waiting on parts to put her back on the rails
sweet work train!
Thank tou it's not done yet. Son and I have a fee more pieces to get.
Don't you love the headlight on the menards locomotives.
My friend it lights up the whole room. I love it
I have a work caboose somewhere.
You buddy for it just being a little o27 model , it was a fun little rebuild. Still going to do some detail work. Not a lot. Just enough to make it pop.
Awesome plane! ❤
Yes he does love his airplanes. As we both love you
Very nice with the classic warbonnet! There are a few hospital cars here at the UnionPacific station in Ogden UT. Some of these types of cars survive preserved!
I was inOgden last year. Unfortunately I didn't have topme to stop. Man I would have loved to see those.
About three years ago before setting up any of my train tables, like I have now, it was not even a thought then. I toyed with the idea of having circle of O gauge track to fit inside of 24 inches. I never did that. I ran a few tracks in my living room to test a few trains. O gauge, 2 rail O gauge, S gauge, and HO gauge. then started on a set up on the second floor in the second bedroom. That was my main sleeping room since I moved here. But it was bigger then the other bedroom and about 2/3 of it was a storage room. Now I have many train and two train tables and much of the storage is in rental units and I need to get rid of that soon. If I'm not using it way pay to keep it or have it. But getting it out of the house allowed me room to get that first table in this house set up and then fix my kitchen floor and sub floor and then I put another set up in the kitchen. Yes, there is a longer story about my channel name. I will tell you if you ask.
Just till my son a I get our house next year. We are planning on building a outdoor o scale layout. British style above ground. So thay will be coming to the channel sometime next year.
Cool stuff
It was a fun video to record. Still surprised with how the 21in cars still made it around the o42 curves.
Neat caboose. Good teamwork.
Thank you. My son Rogue ND I do love to work together on different things. Mostly trains but here recently he has gotten into airplanes and the titanic. He's already built a 14ft model once and now wants to do it again. 😂. So that might be another video before long.
@@kingjulian9496 That is really cool you work together.
Good Job
Thank you brother. Going to some detailing to it later. Main part was to get it running on the rails first. Buy the WY brother. Awesome videos. My son and I are enjoying them .
@ Thank you
What are you doing?
Hand cutting rail road ties. I think in total I had cut like 1200 in 2 days.
@ why
@@kingjulian9496 also those don't look like railroad ties I've ever seen.
@@jeffparker8636 let me go back and look at the video.
@@jeffparker8636 oh nevermind. I was cutting the Cathcart to build a articulated cattle cars. Once I retrieve them I'll do a update video. I'm sorry I had done 2 videos with the razor saw.
Nice! This is the one Ron got working?
No that one is in another video. I can and will always send people to Ron at classic model trains. The man is amazing. The 2025 I bought as parts 2yrs ago. The only problem was the tender stopped ur from working. It needled a fiber washer between the truck and frame to stop the short.
My UA-cam channel is called Landon Smith
I do my own UA-cam channel to
I just saw that. My son joins in from time to time.
I like your model trains
Thank you. I've built alot of them and restored a lot as well. I do have several kit bashed train cars as well.
Hi
Welcome to my channel
Not AVON Indiana more building than trains?? WHY??
Typically the trains will sale faster as people are putting there layout together.
Glad to see this video! 💯
I hope it helps buddy
I made the choice to change the number board to a different number. Watch the short.
Nice
Thank ypu. There is a new video out
The leg you cut off was the scout un-coupler part, that worked with the special mechanical lift un-coupler track very similar to the American Flyer lift, or the Lionel MPC manual un-coupler. Kusan brand and the Atlas O gauge scale (1970-1980) had a leg out the bottom system as well on their couplers.
I knew it had something to do with a uncoupling system. It was just ugly .so I removed it. Not to worried if I have to pick it up . I even got them to work with the new lionel and atlas knuckles.
@@kingjulian9496 You might already know this but often the original Scout trucks were resolved by adding the over the axles Lionel adapter coupler, that is really the standard post0-war coupler, and you just would spin the truck around to attach this adaperter coupler assembly.
Good video. I still wonder why Lionel back then made these different?
I wondered that myself. I guess they were trying to push cheaper sets or something.
These old couplers seem to work, i thought they were ugly, but American Flyer had the hooks, they worked but they too were ugly. O gauge couplers are oversized.
These couplers are of 1950s era. Online I've most got changed out. However I did find a video on how to modify them to work with modern day knuckle couplers. Save a bit of money. So I tried my friend. Works great! This was the first rime I tried this. A little skeptical at first. The scout couplers are ugly and oversized. Eventually I'll go all kadee couplers.
About a year ago I bought a A. F. S gauge steam engine one line and when it came the rear coupler on the tender looked a bit different then the normal A. F. knuckle coupler. Well someone must have broken the original one and they glues a Lionel type coupler on it instead. The funny thing is the Lionel coupler will couple to the American Flyer knuckle couplers just fine.
