if you walk up Newel Creek 2 miles or so you come to a split rock, some 40-50ft long, 20 wide and tall! The creek runs right thru it. Worth seeing.. The roads you see are c.1860 logging roads. Along the creek itself are some old China Camps remains that made it thru the 1977-78 winter, the worse winter ever, it ripped the area up. So did 1983 and 1994

The original T-50 was a ground loop ready to happen. That's why it had a lockable tailwheel. From a T-50 pilot who got his multi-engine rating in one in 1957 at Parks College.

Frankly, I have only flown it a few times (that one morning) but plan to put six batteries through it next weekend, performing aerobatics which should expose any visibility issues pretty quickly! The visibility last week had me too concerned to perform much of anything…

Everyone had great difficulty seeing ANY plane that morning, due to the low sun angle and haze. And they had high visibility liveries. Two pilots nearly lost their planes that morning.This site is lousy in the early mornings due to that reason. You enter a turn and must not let your eyes trick you into thinking the bank angle is opposite. I love this plane because of its sound, power, and very slow speed with full flaps.

In my opinion, the military grey paint finished on this plane's new color design makes it quickly disappear in the blue sky, especially when the sun is that bright. That could easily cause the pilot to lose orientation, creating a dangerous situation. It happened to me on maiden flight day of my Avanti S V2, and I almost crashed it.
