Hi there, AI led me to uour channel! My bulbs have just arrived and im unsure how to plant, but i have 100 bulbs so not going to put all in pots 😮 My question is, how deep do you plant the plugs once they've germinated?
Hello and welcome to my channel! I would recommend you plant your plugs just below the surface level ensuring any fresh growth is above the ground. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍
Fake thing
does it need some kind of special soil?
Multipurpose works just fine, though once the plant is several months old, consider repotting it in fresh soil or give it regular feeding using a good fertiliser
Hello! Thank you for the tips. I'm having the hardest time to get the Foxgloves to even germinate. I do not own a plastic dome, so I have to manually mist them. I'm giving them lots of sunlight both outdoors and on my windowsill, perhaps too much. It's been very very dry lately, and temperatures are well above 30. Could the climate be the biggest culprit?
Hi, foxglove seeds can take up to six weeks to germinate - and even longer if they have been sown in autumn or winter. I would recommend sowing your seeds in pots and leaving your pots outside in your garden. They will remain dormant until the conditions are suitable for them to germinate. Keep your pots out of direct sunlight and don’t sow too many in one pot - this will create competition and you’ll end up with small, weak plants. Don’t over water them too - this will cause the seeds to rot. If left outside, the rain will take care of the watering for you. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍
@easy.gardening thank you for the tips, I'll separate a pot in a shaded area for the foxglove seeds!
This is so helpful and useful. Thank you!
I’m glad this video has helped you, thank you for watching 👍
Wow amazing
Thank you, I’m glad this has helped you 🫶
Very informative, thank You. I will try my first foxgloves this year. Did You say 4-6 weeks til germination?? Oh my, that is a long wait...
Thank you, and thanks for watching. Yes foxglove do take several weeks to germinate, but they are worth the wait 🫶
Will they still have the high germination rate as the ones bought at the store?
Most definitely they will. Just remember to use the larger seeds you harvest as I’ve shown in this video. They will give you bigger and better plants 👍
@@easy.gardening thanks, hopefully I'll get one that's 9 feet.
❤❤❤ lovely!! Thank you this helps a lot!! 🥭
I’m glad this video has helped you and thank you for watching 🥭 🫶
You don’t need stones at the bottom your container as long as you have plenty of drain holes. Compost? You mean potting soil.
Incredible video, brother. Do you need to place the pot inside somewhere dark for the first part or can they be left outside? Some instructions say to place indoors first until they shoot? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! And thanks for watching. No you don’t need to place the pot in the dark. Once you’ve planted the bulbs, it should be left outside over autumn and winter. Just make sure your pots have good drainage as shown in this video to avoid the bulbs from rotting. Hope this helps 👍
Wonderful video😊😊👍
Thank you, I'm glad you've enjoyed this video ☺️
So nice
Thank you 🫶
Will you be ,leaving these exposed to the elements through the winter or storing the pots in a Shelter of some type ? Another question I have is after they have bloomed and the bloom dies what do you do with the pot of dirt and the bulbs for the summer months ? Thank you if you can answer any of this.
Hi, thanks for watching. I kept this pot outside throughout winter. Almost all spring flowering bulbs are hardy and can withstand the cold. Just make sure they have good drainage as demonstrated in this video. Once the blooms have fully died back in late spring/early summer, I move the pot into my garage and leave it there until early autumn before I bring it back into the garden again. Hope this helps
We have the poison, they have the bulbs. Netherlands here: Parkinson's Alzheimer's As etc. Children degenerative disorders Due to the growth of your dear LILLIES!! Please never buy these plants. . Lily fields around here are Natura 2000 areas and around schools. We need to close our windows and keep the children inside..because of th poison Every week!! otherwise they won"t grow. Pesticides everywhere in the air and the ground.. Please think about it.
Thanks!
Anytime, thank you for watching 🫶
Excellent upload . No faff , no waffle , just straight to the point, simple advice . Also , like the music which accompanied your upload . A gentle low level track , which doesn't distract from the point of thee upload . Excellent 👍. Have subbed .
Thank you for your kind comment and thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you've enjoyed the video and found it helpful. Buddleja are amazing and easy to propagate - I hope yours do well! Thank again
After watering from the bottom, do i have to keep water tray even after moisture formed on surface level?
Once your seeds have germinated you can water your coriander from above and won’t need a water tray. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍
Great. So simply and well explained. A video on planting would also be great.
Thank you and I’m glad this video has helped you. I’ll be making a video on sowing these seeds in the new season so please subscribe if you haven’t already - thanks for watching 🫶
Their pretty! What season did you sew them?
These were from September onwards 🫶
Very hard to grow cilantro/coriander. I followed all the methods shown in youtubes. They sprout but all died within a week. Too much sunlight, water, etc..don't know which is the right way.
Too much sunlight won’t hurt coriander, they do best in full sun. Make sure your growing medium is high in nutrients. Use fresh compost too. If you’re growing them in containers, then it’s essential they don’t dry out. Finally, I’d recommend using good quality seeds from a reputable source. I wouldn’t give up trying, once they grow, they will give you the best tasting coriander 👍
Very hard to grow cilntiro/corinder
Give this method a go, you’ll be fine 👍
Thank you so much! My first year growing them and I LOVE them! They will now be a staple every year
You’re welcome 🫶 Cosmos are beautiful plants and so easy to grow. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new plants next season
Very sigma skibidi
Excellent and Informative. Thank you! 🌼🌷
You’re welcome and thanks for watching 🫶
Isn't the new pot too big? I thought that it should be only one size bigger.
Thank you for your information and patience!!!
You’re welcome and thank you for watching 🫶
❤🎉
Except you dont!
After the seeds sprout what do you do mine stayed like the plant in the video then I watered it like I was and then it wilted and pretty much died?
Hello! Young seedlings need to light to grow. I keep mine outside in direct sun light and keep them well watered. If yours have wilted tells me that they may be struggling to reach light (I’ve been in this situation too). Sow a fresh batch outside and you’ll be fine! Hope this helps 🫶
Wow I never knew that was possible. Thank u very much 🙏🏾
You’re welcome! Glad this video has helped you 😃
How long did it take them to grow roots?
Hello. They rooted in 10 days and I have video showing how to do this ua-cam.com/video/55hOKKauotA/v-deo.htmlsi=fCv8p62NrkMTYM1X
This works! Thanks to you! I hope it saves me some money in the process! Thank you. ❤❤❤❤
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and giving it a go. It’s a great way to make lots of free plants! Enjoy your new Creeping Jenny’s 🫶
Thankyou , terimakasih
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you. This is my first year growing cosmos
You’re welcome and thanks for watching! Glad this video has helped 👍
Coriander seeds can germinate in 5-14 days, not 3 dyas
I skip the water and just stick them directly in the ground and water them once a day until established.
you're a chap and a water lettuce shaman
beautiful ❤
Thank you 👍
Just soaked my seeds whole half an hour ago then came across your video 😫
😊 that’s ok, they will still germinate, just take a few days longer. You can apply this method when you sow your next batch! Thanks for watching 🫶
Lovely and straight to the point, thank you.
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Hi, I followed your instructions but my cuttings have been sat in water for about 2 weeks now. It’s still very much alive, but no roots at all, can you help ?
Hi, sure, here are a couple of recommendations 1. Change the water every two days to ensure a fresh supply 2. Make sure there are not too many leaves on your cuttings as this will slow down the growth 3. Keep your cuttings on bright window sill, but not in direct sunlight 4. If they are healthy and alive, try potting one or two cuttings in pots/container using a fresh potting mix and keep well watered I hope this helps
That not all seeds..seeds is the little black stick like
I love this❤ New subscriber
Thank you and welcome to the channel 🫶
Do you want to constantly have water in the bottom dish?
What is compost mix
Hi, it’s organic matter / regular potting mix
They won’t grow after cutting off they’ll die and produce a sucker after almost 6 months
just to encourage you love the way you simplify and produce a good video, you are a good teacher all power to your elbow and best wishes.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🫶 I’m glad you find my videos simple to follow and that they are helping you on your gardening journey! Thank you again and welcome to my channel 👍
Exactly what I was looking for - thank you!! ❤
You’re welcome 😊
@@easy.gardening been out (Bristol), collected my cuttings & they're now in jars in my kitchen! 😊
