RCF HDL 26A (5 per side) + 2 RCF 9006 AS + 2 RCF 9004 AS + RDNET
We ran the subs in an Arc through RD NET with the dual 18’s on the outside.. Audio was consistent throughout the venue and carried very well from far back.

RCF HDL 26A & 9006 Sounding Amazing…

I still can’t believe how small these speakers are and how big the sound is in this configuration. The tops are on crank stands and probably 12’ - 15’ up. Subs are laying down. It’s not hard to make these cabinets sound great. This band is The Parks Church Band out of McKinney TX. Shout out to them for being so cool and easy to work with. Excellent band…
RCF HDL 26A (8) over RCF 9006-AS (1)

4 tops a side and 1 dual 18”. The crank stands I used were 18’ high I believe. I used RD NET which provided presets based on measurements and the sound was excellent.
Two Tons of Steel - (6) RCF 26A - (2) 9006s - (2) 9004s - Sound Was Impeccable!!!

This was a good size field and the sound we got out of these boxes was unbelievable. The bass player of the headlining band came up to me during this set and said he was looking around wondering where all the speakers were, and that it sounded great lol... if you’re in the market, I highly recommend these boxes..

RCF HDL 26-A (6) with RCF 9006AS (2) (Random Axis Band)
Just did my first show with 12 total that I hit the limit lights with the floor tom, it was a huge venue, but I would like to add 4 more
How many hdl26 cabinets..?
3 on each side
Sounds great. I am seriously considering replacing my QSC KLA12 with HDL6-A. I noticed your boxes are pointed t different angles. Would you mind sharing the angles of each box? Thank you in advance.
Thanks! I usually angle the bottom speaker at the highest tilt possible (0 or 1), and just eyeball it from there..
@@danielmarceau6745 Thank you. My HDL6-A arrived. Just waiting of flybar to arrive so I can try the angles
How did you buy them? Who sells them ?
I bought them from a local distributor in Dallas TX called Sound Productions
@@danielmarceau6745 would they sell to a buyer in Arizona?
Nice! The production co I work for 16 x HDLA-6 and honestly serious value for money. Out of interest how far from the stage were you at 1:40 sounded great.
Poor vdo. Make me headache
Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear! 😁👍
you also need front fills i could hear a couple of dead spots
why have tvs on the stage for the lyrics, no one would be able to read them, one need 2 lines per slide
I was contracted in to mix the audio on this event. This is not my production design or equipment.
Add a AH SQ5 or 6 and I bet things sound a little better. Love my SQ6 and TTL6A's.
Totally agree. I am working towards buying the Avantis w GX4816.
@danielmarceau6745 yeah the SQ has such a small screen. Only thing I hate but the touch screen is nice
Is it 50hz low cut on bass?
Bass low cut was probably between 50 - 70 hz if I remember correctly
Whats your overall eq setting for the bass guitar? Are you willing to do a quick tutorial tips and tricks vid🙏🏿 it Cuts thru perfectly! The whole mix is perfect💪🏿💯
Thank you sir! In the live world I eq the bass based on how the bass tone sounds through the PA combined with the room/environment. I don’t have a go to preset but I do tend to seek out the clarity and boost that a little. Also eliminating any overly resonant frequencies in the low/low mids goes a long way with letting the bass cut through well. Hi pass filter out the super lows. That’s my 2 cents
@@danielmarceau6745 thx
have you used the RCF TTL33a?
Not yet, but my buddy has 14 of them and I hope to do a show with them at some point.
next time you do a show, could you do a walk around of how you placed everything and configured it? thanks!
Yes, I will try my best to do that. I have been thinking about doing an RD NET video showing how I use it.. Thanks for the feedback
I would love to see the video on how you use RDNET . Great job squeezing these speakers and making them sound killler!@@danielmarceau6745
@@danielmarceau6745 just purchased 12 hdl6a’s and traded in my 8006’s for 9006’s couldn’t be happier now. I really did not like the 8006, it was missing a entire octave of the music even in deep mode, and it was as big and heavy as the 9007
@@TylerMarletteNY congratulations! That’s a great system
Excelent👌 9006 left -right and 2x9004 in midle???
Thank you! Yes that is correct but all the subs evenly spaced apart. We went with 8’ apart on this one.
great mix! I have hdl6’s and love them, I also got 3 8006-as subs and I don’t like them at all. they drop off almost completely below 45hz even if in the “deep” setting. I love the 9007 but they are to big. looking for even usable output down to 30hz. the 9007 definitely delivers that but I haven’t mixed on the 9006 and that’s what I would like to get
I have worked on both 9007 and 9006. I’ve been told that 9007s don’t pair very well with the HDL 6 or 26. The 9006 I actually prefer for most band situations because of tonal advantages. However, the 9007 does a better job of shaking the earth, and depending on what your event/application is either sub is amazing. I did work with 8006 with the band a few times And they were fine but I think the 9006 might be better. I have not AB compared them.
@@danielmarceau6745 it would make sense the 9006 sounds tighter being a 18”, what was the crossover frequency you where running in this?
@@TylerMarletteNY 30Hz - 80Hz
@@danielmarceau6745 Thanks for the info! please keep the videos coming
Amazing mainstage 👍
what’s your impression of the low mids with only using 3 per side?
In all honesty they are super impressive however there is a difference in the low mids compared to my old PAS dual 15” rig. But the 26As will blow your mind if you haven’t heard them in person before. Especially when paired with 9006s or 9004s. These are incredible boxes
Yeah I’m running 4 15” 3 way jbl srx tops switching to 6 or 8 hdl-6s crossing over at 100hz hopefully I have enough low mid
@@TylerMarletteNY my opinion is that you will be pleasantly surprised with the range of the HDL6s. I was also intimidated making the investment. I own the 26s and they default crossover at 75hz. I typically xover at 100hz
what’s the ratio of 9006’s to hdl-26’s for balanced peak spl? one of the companies I talked to said 4-6 26’s per 9006
@@TylerMarletteNY I would say 3 tops to 1 sub.
what was the trim height on the hangs?
I think roughly in the ballpark of 16’ This was a throw-n-go production that I just mixed..
Just curious, but how does it sounds and feels like when you fly subs? I've never had an opportunity to listen in to a band in real life in that config. Let's say like 2 subs at top then 6 mids bottom kind of config
How did you hook up the HDL6A? Both power and signal. Just daisy chain?
I know this was awhile go but do you know what mics were used on those drums
I believe they were Audix D series
i hear that RCF burn o blow easily
The more expensive models have been very durable throughout my experience.
@@danielmarceau6745 which one u recommend for band ? n how many?
@@mizaelbautista6151 For a band I recommend any of the speakers that have RDNet. Just depending on the size venues that the band plays is what determines which speaker to go with.
@@danielmarceau6745 i just bought 4 DAS 208A but not sound like the way i wanted maybe im not connected right on my mixer . i was thinking return it get another brand . u got any video of how to conect it?
@@mizaelbautista6151 those are great speakers. Maybe there is an issue from the factory? Have you tried different mixer, cables, power etc?
Sound great! Great mix! Where you using a processor for the top and sub?
Thanks! No processor in the signal chain.
Side fill ??? Not amazing ...😪
I agree
were hdl6 limited in power?
Possibly. This was not my production. I was only the A1 on this.
Not likely. The HDL6’s are pretty capable especially for their weight and size. I have the same exact size rig and with enough height they can throw very well
Spec sheets of the two subwoofers used show different frequency responses. Different frequency (amplitude) responses mean different phase responses in a minimal phase system. Different phase responses result in less than perfect addition, worst case cancellation, between speakers. Don't mix different types of subs.
9004 is half the driver count and half the amp, it’s just a 9006 cut in half
Es lo que ando buscando para fiestas en salones. Cuantas personas hay en ese salón?
Sounds so clear i love RCF , i wonder to watch this kind of set up from audience here in Phillipines maybe i dont saw this kind of crowd totally different here huge amount of people
it's so clear. Amazing
With 9 tops per side, how big event could you do, for how many people?
Great question. I don’t honestly know the answer to that. One of my networking partners does corporate audio in arenas/stadium’s throughout the county. They run 12 hdl26a per side and he said they muted the house feed one day and the 12 a side filled the entire arena. That said, 9 a side will cover a lot. I have an event with 10 26a per side booked covering a crowd of 6,000 people.. This video was the 6a’s not the 26a’s but they are both great. Hope that helps.
@@danielmarceau6745 thanks for answering, i have been listening to 6 hdl20 per side and it covered 5000 people on open field, it was good sound so i tought 9 hdl6 per side could cover maybe 7000 people which is amazing, but nobody has that system over here, so if anybody knows what is the coverage of this system please answer i am interested in buying 16 hdl6. Thanks.
@@danielmarceau6745 i am curently working with dynacord speakers and i covered 5000 people with 4 cobra2 tops per side it worked amazing, so when i compare specs of those speakers i think 8 hdl6 per side should be able to cover audience of 6000 or 7000 people no problem, but i would love to hear someone experienced with hdl6.
Hi should the 9006 ventilation cooling be activating even at very low volume, is that normal?
Yes, I think so.
Hi should the 9006 ventilation cooling be activating even at very low volume, is that normal?
✨✨👏👏
Can I ask how many subs you ran with that?
Lol, not nearly enough in my opinion. I think we only had like 6 - 8 18”s. I was contracted in to A1 so this is not my production.
Lol, not nearly enough in my opinion. I think we only had like 6 - 8 18”s. I was contracted in to A1 so this is not my production.
I only see 4 single 18’s. Probably would have done better couples together in front of the stage. But sometimes not an option for other logistic or aesthetic reasons
@@jessecoonen7881 there were a few more on the side fills by the projection screens
What speaker poles do you use here?
Those poles were the less expensive poles I could get my hands on at the time. I now use and recommend the gator hydraulic poles. They get the tops over heads mounted on a single 18 sub. In this video I was using dual 18s
Thanks.I’m also thinking about Ultimate Sp 100.
Pena no Brasil custar uma Fortuna 🥲🥲🥲
157 db per side ... push very good for a small modul cabinet...impressive!!! I think 8 subwoofers 9006 or 9007 would have been better.
No doubt about it! I recently worked with the 9006s stacked and they coupled great. You could feel the punch from far away….
Do you use RDNET?
Absolutely, but not on this event. We just went local at this gig.
What sort of router you are using to get that much coverage?
how many dual 18 inch subs were there?
8 dual 18s
@@danielmarceau6745 are they rcf sub 9006 as?
@@carlotheatheist no sir I believe they were McCauley dual 18’s

Any issues with headroom?
No issues on this act. I had a decent amount of headroom..
For the size the 6’s sound sweet
I agree 👍
Subs?
We had 8 dual 18s. I need to ask the production company about the make/model. I just remember that the subs were not RCF.
Any sub woofer at center.?
No, just a dual 18 in each side..
No power alley .?
Did you run subs on a separate aux?
Yes, I do run aux subs.
I want the sound so bad! Great 👍🏻

How good this hdl26a will be for a dj?
Excellent
How sound the hdl 26 in flat? This box are beautiful, when new videos on this sistem or with 9004. In the headphones sound is perfect
