Can confirm this works still. I was just successful by doing exactly what was done in this video. Take it to a cell phone repair guy and have him make sure the 510 resistor is still showing a reading, and resolder that sucker back on and it should work for you too! Fixed after 16 years😂

What settings in MAME did you use? My guy is spinning way too fast! I dialed down all of the settings to 1. I have an original controleer connected to a U-HID which is just like an opti-pac.

How's it going? Your video inspired me to give this a try. I bought a rebuilt controller off ebay but I can't get it to work. I've got the optipac and have everything wired correctly but can't get Mame to read it. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Arcade1up needs to improve on the tallness of the machine it looks uncomfortable for your back trying to play while sitting it’s either that or improve the size of the riser

I think a great option to have for these cabinets would be a wall mount. Sure, they weigh around 60 pounds, but think about how much a kitchen cabinet loaded with plates weighs. Wall mounting could be done rather easily, and you could put the cabinet at a custom height - after all, someone who is 6' tall has a different preference than someone who is 5'4" (like me). Or...a riser on wheels with an adjustable base. Way too easy, and an improvement on the current risers they could charge a lot more for.

Cool to see that this is taking off and new ideas are coming out...But I agree...WTF is with this rep? He seems like he doesn't know shit about these things...why do they have him there anyways? Know your product?

They put the better screens in those models being displayed and they use random cheaper grade screens for the boxed ones, with the odd IPS screen.

Why is nobody asking the most important question? Will we be able to set the difficulty level in MK or is this going to be the Street Fighter fiasco all over again? On the same subject, are they ever going to release a patch to fix the difficulty level in SF?

arcade1up needs to understand, they're first cabinets had cheap lcd screens that faded to black unless u looked spot on, no u shouldn't settle just because u r gonna look straight, because some people do move alot or the biggest factor two people cant fit together on one cab without losing vision of the dark screen, also the cabinets always came with cheap paint the comes off at the rub of a finger. The nice attention to detail is seeing arcade one u respond with the plastic cover, better controls, better screen. I just hope they remake the wave one cabinets with the newer upgrades on the mortal kombat kabinet. Other than adding better lcd screens and games i hope they add the marquee that lights up and coin slots that light but, OH one more important thing, we need STEREO sound/speakers, stop with the mono 1 speaker in the cabinets, that was not in the arcade cabinets!
