The "like father and son" line hits differently when you learn how abusive BJs dad was, it's why he takes such good care of his men almost to the point of coddling them, he wants to be a better father figure than the one he got. Shit the whole reason he enlisted was because it was a chance to fight the exact same bigotry his own mother had to endure

I genuinely see this “god” as maes subconscious, bc I have moments my subconscious almost feels like a separate being and it’s speaking to me and some of it is hard to hear or correlates with what you feel deep down and Mae seems to feel insignificant and delinquent, likely due to her rep in possum springs, and how bea treats her after dropping out. This almost feels like a form of ego death of feeling no different from everything else and being mere atoms

there are so many great lines in this scene "there is nowhere for god to be hiding", "the universe is forgetting you and the universe is being forgotten", but hands down "There is a hole in the center of all things" is baked into my head eternally. I think I look forward to seeing those words every time I play the game
