carroot: rabbitOS tethered jailbreak demo
Jailbreaking the Rabbit R1 on latest stock firmware, getting root, and launching supertuxkart (which I'd already installed on a previous boot, via adb)
More details here: www.da.vidbuchanan.co.uk/ blog/r1-jailbreak.html (youtube won't let me post links, lol)

USB-C iPod Nano Mod

0 subscribers special! This video shows how I added a USB type C port to an iPod Nano 1st generation, which supports both charging and syncing. Sorry for not showing any soldering in this video, it's hard to film (and I'm bad at it), but maybe I'll show it in my next video.
Which kind of functionality did it lose? Probably the audio part via USB (docks, etc)?
hello do you know the way to restore r1 that has entered dm-verity mode? thanks a lot
It woks on iPad 2g?
I’m curious if a voltage regulator is necessary to prevent it from getting over 5V input. Is that built into the iPod itself?
please make a tut i cant get mine to work
If you're on the latest firmware version, you need to use retr0 . id/stuff/r1_jailbreak_next/ instead (remove spaces)
This is cool but, can you still sie teachmode when it comes out? Can you use rabbithole/lam playground and Spotify?
Nicely done
Brilliant, have to try
Nice demo.
^ω^
is that possible to rollback to original ?
Yes, just reboot the device
009 Soundscape in its rightful place among jailbreak demos 😌
at 1:37, the audio track is in sync with the rabbit boot animation
using WebSerial to crack MTK bootrom is brutal. i love web.
What else can you do with the new software?
Interesting! I like this that uses the original OS and not an Android reflash. So basically what's all i can do with this root method?
I didn't think that far ahead tbh
Oh no.,. is he going to go at it like a cavema--- NOOOOO HE IS CUTTING AWAY THE CONNECTOR LIKE CAVEMAN!!!!! ahhh. i my soul lost a bit right there.
Hi David! Just want to let you know, you video has motivated me a lot! I was planning on buying an ipod nano for modding, and you video really helped me! (I haven’t started yet but I’m looking forwards to it). I plan on soldering more storage and also upgrading it to an usb c port.
Great video! Definitely giving a like and subscribing. I’ll let you know when I finish my modifications!
Can you do this with a GEN2 also?
Hey! You reckon this would be possible with a ipod nano 6th gen?
It certainly wouldn't be easy, but maybe?
its ca connect to DAC bro
not even the 6502 is safe
thank you for this video, i'd like to do this to an iPod classic i've got that has a wonky 30-pin, it disconnects frequently while trying to sync or restore
Respect!
Probably woulda been better to use a heat gun
What has this man done????
sweeet
Only if that can work with the 7th nano.
Based
Do you have possiblity to add micro sd card slot, just asking
cool
It's so sad that you have to mod Apple products for a USB-C port. All the new iPad's come with USB-C, but meanwhile, we're stuck with a lightning port for these crazy expensive iPhones.
Badass I want all my ipods to have this feature
Is it possible to do something similar for a 5the gen iPod!! - great video btw
Honestly kinda sad this is his only video!
that is so rad! I'd love to see this on a classic
sweet mod!! wish i could perform such surgery on the 30-pin and micro usb devices i have laying around.
I have an old nano that suddenly won't connect to computers anymore regardless of what cable is used. So now that I've bought another one to replace it, I'm really tempted to try this. I've got USB c cables everywhere for my phone, so this would be incredibly handy. I have the second generation so I'm assuming I would have to do a little more research and digging into it to see if this would even be possible.
guy came, made awesome video, then dipped
I'll be back!
A mod like this should be possible on the ipod mini, right?
Very good work! I recently broke one of the brass connector on the 30 pin connector when I was trying to get the ribbon cable for the Click Wheel to go in the tiny ribbon connector (I guess I must've accidentally touched it with my tweezer 🙄). I thinking of replacing it with another 30 pin connector (if I can find one) but after seeing this video. I might have to rethink about it....
Your voice tho what help
Hey, please upload more videos, waiting...
