As an amateur, now on my 3rd can of UPol Premium Dolphin Filler, I now weigh everything. Had a couple of fails on this product, and took me ages to scrape it all off. Its a lovely product for sanding, but mix ratio seems very sensitive compared to other fillers I used...where I never weighed anything before. Weighing certainly helps consistency between the layers with multiple swipes on complex curves.

I would say run away from this industry. Highest paid tech is 27.00 per hour. Your tool bill from snapon will be $250 a week. No benefits hard work and endless problems. Working for people that sale a peice of paper. Go to work for the insurance companies. They have a cake walk no overhead other than marketing. They get parts commissions for finding insurance approved parts with quote # that how they get their commissions. You will wake up one day realizing you were just being used bye con men. Broken back and you can't breathe from all the Hazards Chemicals. Even if you start your own unless you're a cheat You won't make any money robbing peter to pay paul.

@coco9004 I'd just sand them with a red scotch brite prime. Sand up to 600 if metallic. If solid color 400. But if you have a sealer it would be a lot easier and faster. Use the scotch brite seal, then paint

I want to throw something out there and see what comes back. I have recently encountered an issue affecting many body shop businesses across the country, they are currently all being denied payment for necessary safety calibrations, that are required to put a safe vehicle back on the road. My question is who regulates this being done or for a better sense, what organization governs that this is a safety requirement that absolutely must be done when required and must also be paid for by either the insurance company's loss claim or the customer paying for the damage. I don't understand how any insurance company can deny this to be paid for as a part of the collision loss claim. They're blatantly telling the shops to collect the money from the customer? Isn't that illegal? Who governs this? Is it the BAR? or the NHTSA? Is it OSHA? Who governs safety and its requirements in the USA? Now this is the deep dark rabbit hole... I have found nothing to this effect. All that I can find out there is, that these organizations I mentioned earlier only have regulations and requirements for the OE manufacturers to have these safety items installed on their vehicles. And THAT IS IT! I'm curious to know what the future holds, and who will champion this into reality. Will SCRS carry the torch on this one?

The project is to repair the hole that rusted through a porcelain coated cast iron sink. After using fiberglass and fiberglass cloth to patch the hole, I was thinking about using a clear epoxy with matching white pigment to put the final layer or two on the sink. It’s by the faucet, so it isn’t really weight bearing and although there is contact with water, it isn’t soaked at the bottom of the sink. Any advice, ideas, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Nothing has even been started, everything is planning at this point

This Raptor paint is going to be going on everything soon(not literally lol) going to coat my travel trailer front exposed hitch metal, my trucks hitch under truck. Going with 1k Raptor on my 22 inch matte black Camaro ss wheels that faded. Going to coat the front rebel style grill and matte black xd wheels that faded bad to almost ashey gray with 2k bedliner paint. Might attempt to coat the side steps on my Ram too, chrome just scares me for adhesion. Have a old harbor frieght trailer i will coat with bedliner also. Just need to figure out proper prep for going over old wheel paint(not peeling or any issues, just faded) and the chrome sidesteps.
