Sanchari Sanasi death announcement
Переглядів 4,1 тис.16 років тому
This is the death announcement from guyana of my grand mother. Does anyone know her. She is from Windsorforest and lives on second street
This should had been played during the cpl during guyana vs trinidad
0.(Ref) I love my katahar (katahal), I want my katahar; I love katahar, I want katahar, I need katahar. 1. Guyanese say "katahar", Trinidadians say "chataigne"; They cook it with coco-nut milk, I really do not mind. (Ref) 2. Guyanese say "bora", Trinidadians say "bodi"; If you lift too much weight, you're sure to get "godi". (Ref) 3. Guyanese say "cook-up", Trinidadians say "pilau"; When eaten with too much pepper, it makes you bawl-out "ow".(Ref) 4. Some say "tomahto", some say "tomayto"; Some say "potahto", some say "potayto". I say "aaloo", 'cause I love it with roti; Instead of "tomahto", I say "tomahti"; (Ref) 5. Guyanese say "hassar", Trinidadians "cascadoux"; Some say "alligayta" (alligator), I don't what to do. (Ref) 6. Guyanese say "kyaar", Trinidadians say "kaar"; I don't want to walk, so I burst into my old talk. (Ref) .
1. I was drinking in the bar, with somefriends in the country. When I met this young man, who sang this song to me. He was knocking (beating) the table and singing his song. There were tears in his eyes and a bottle he brought along. 2. I went to his table to ask him his name; he told me that his name is just lame. 3.(Ref) Aise daaru piyaa piyaa maar jaay; nahee' pyaare aur jhootha nahee'. I am drinking my rum, I'm drinking to die; no one loves me and that is no lie." 4. So I took him home with me, to meet my family. "I made a mistake, bhai, and now I must pay. And that's why I am drinking, to take the pain away." (Ref) 5. I tried to be honest, I tried to be true; I love her so much, I didn't know what to do. She left me with our children, to love someone else; and that is why I am drinking, to kill myself. (Ref) .

No it’s chutney a blend of calypso with Indian music
Yeah I see I got that point at 1:12 that first verse of this song is kind of like from what Lyman High School did.
Mai' uske jāntā hū' - voh masjid ke pās rahate the, hai na? Voh Windsar Fārest ban se sabse adbhut mahilāo' me' se ek thī. Kahā' unkī betī (aur merī sahapāthī) Jasodrā Latchmin Sanāsī hai? .
0.(Ref A) Āj suno ham gīt vidā kā gā rahe; Do dukhiyāre panchhī bichhure jā rahe. Bahut dino' ke sathī hāy judā honge; Gum sum ā'khariyo' me' ā'sū ā rahe. 1. Alag alag rāho' par chal diye do pranī; Nirdai jag ne inkī pīr nahī' janī. (ĀĪŪṛāīū) Āj purāne sukh ke din yād ā rahe . . . ; Do dukhiyāre panchhī bichhure jā rahe.(Ref) 2. Ko-i mat pūchho' kaun hai' ye kyo' rote hai'; Is jag me' (men) aise bhī abhāge hote hai'. Lut gaye phir bhī dil kā dard chhipā rahe . . . ; Do dukhiyāre panchhī bichhure jā rahe. (Ref) .

Very nice song way to go bhawanie
This song was written and performed by Singer/Songwriter/Musician Bhawanie Singh who is originally from Bartica. "Drinking in the Bar" is the flip side of "She let me Down" on his original 45 record back in the day. Music by one of Guyana's all time great Bands "Merrytones Orchestra" from GT. He is also Founder of the now current "Supertones Band" led by his son Avinash Singh. Bhawanie Singh has a Radio and TV show in New York. One Love and Nuff Rizpek!
Bhawanie, thats the way to go my man.
What a great random find! Love this!
OMG i love this song soooo much thanks for uploading muah muah
leave it to them stinking guyanese to sing SHIT eh!
go dance bai because dis some good tassa chune deh
goooooooood tassa
Good, but not that good. Trini tassa sounds much more better. Nice though.
What is the real name of this song?
Tassa is widespread all over India, and our ancestors introduced the tassa drums to the caribbean. So all this talk of tassa not being a guyanese thing and more of a trini thing is very inaccurate considering there are guyanese people of indian descent as well as indian descendants dispersed throughout the caribbean. In essence, tassa was brought to the caribbean by our ancestors many years ago, and did not originate in Trinidad. We're both very similar and should just get along with each other.
i can see my drunk grandpa dancing to this
woooieee skunt no trini coulda play dis bad pon de drums dem... meh does lissen many tassa pon youtube and dis ah rate top 2...
OMG is it really my guyanese people playing them tassa drums?. We certainly are the best. Like I always say, there are two types of people in this world (1) Those who are Guyanese an (2) Those would like to be Guyanese.
