I keep seeing a common trend ( myself included) drinking coffee is correlating with IUGR babies.. something to think about.. coffee inhibits iron absorption, not supposed to drink coffee an hour before or two after you eat iron. pregnant woman are usually low in iron which means not enough oxygen to her body, placenta or baby… What were your iron levels while pregnant?

Thankyou so much for sharing! I am due to be induced 07/17 due to IUGR. I am so worried that my milk supply Won’t be good or baby will prefer bottle to nursing. If you’re ok with it, could you tel me a bit more about your experience with this in particular? With my first she was a totally textbook pregnancy and super easy nursing journey from start to finnish but that was 4.5 years ago and I’m so scared about how this diagnosis will effect nursing for me and my son.

My baby was also diagnosed with IUGR. He was born 12 days ago. Your story is very similar to mine. I also got induced at 38 weeks and 6 days due to the baby being small. He is small but is very healthy and I am so grateful for that. ❤

I’ve been crying and freaking out for a while . I just pray my baby is okay. Just been worried about her future development and hopefully birth isn’t too bad on her. I’ve been knowing since around 28 weeks and going for weekly monitoring. Finally 36 weeks and we’re discussing inducing my labor within the next 2 weeks

My birth story was so similar. I had felt my belly was just too small at about 30 weeks, I brought my concerns to my Dr. and it seemed like it was brushed off. Finally they listened and at 36 I had another ultrasound. Baby was measuring small so they kept an eye on me. My last ultrasound was at 38 weeks and 2 days, baby was in the 3rd percentile. They sent me directly to the hospital for induction. I had no time to pack, left my early morning ultrasound to be at the hospital by 11am. Checked into the hospital on Thursday and didn’t leave till Tuesday afternoon. Went through the same meds, my water finally broke at 5pm on Friday. Started pitocin Saturday, I was only 2cm when baby’s heart rate dropped. I was sent for a C-section. Averie was born at 2:30 pm weighing 4lbs 15ounces. She was perfectly healthy, just small. I find it so ironic that my husbands name is also Alex. Thanks for sharing your story!

We have such a similar story but my girl was 4lbs 4 oz and spent 5 days in the nicu. She’s a healthy 4 year old now and I’m 34 weeks pregnant and this girl is measuring small too now

Thank you for making this video. Early this week I found out my son has been diagnosed with IUGR and ever since then have been researching and looking at others mothers' experiences with their IUGR babies. I feel a little bit more connected to your story in someway, just for the fact you had to deal with having gbs and other factors. I'm currently 30 weeks though and anxiously waiting for my next appointment to discuss things with my doctors. Fingers crossed that everything will look ok and I won't have to be induced until at least 37 or 38 weeks. I hope for your current pregnancy to go well and that you get to have the birth experience you're hoping for. ❤️ Thank you again.

Girl I feel you on feeling overwhelmed & unmotivated! It comes in waves for me & I’ve found not “shoulding” myself helps like if you’re needing to relax stopping the ‘oh I should be doing this or I should feel this way’ & it helps to just let yourself recharge & then do things as you’re feeling motivated to.
