Around thirty years ago this castle and the whole town with a was for sale. It all belonged to the same family Marquis of Tamarit It wasn't that much either, inexpensive enough to think about it, plus maintenance and repairs , plus historical, so have to get permission for anything that want to change. It was before international real estate companies were involved in Spain. On the water with a medieval town and everything else involved with. Now used for weddings. I remember being with friends in Tarragona talking about it and thinking about it all together. Should we go for it, and then decide what to do with it? Between us women and the men about the money, doing the numbers, we could have made a small charming hotel, including the village houses, but also for our own enjoyment.

One of the most beautiful château I have ever seen. It must have cost a fortune to restore the three floors to this high degree. Even the basement is well restored.

It needs a very big family including 30-40 persons... Too much big for only a little family of 2-3 persons. If you die in a room on the edge of the building or something happens to you, it will take a few days for them to find you.

Asemenea cladir unde nu mai locuiește nimeni și cel mai probabil nu mai sunt printre noi! De ce nu sunt date unor oameni amărâți, copii care au ieșit din orfelinate și nu au unde sa meargă, acolo pot sa trăiască o viață și plus se pot căsătorii sa-si întemeieze o familie cu copii care pot avea un viitor frumos unor oameni care s-ar bucura de așa loc și mai mult de atât ar fi clădirea întreținută cu reabilitarea clădirii chiar și păstrarea lor! Rămân abandonate și apoi le mănâncă ruina și pagina și pe urma întra în descompunere și se deteriorează! Ce ziceți asta nu e un păcat ca se tine asa castele și clădiri degeaba ca nu sunt folosite!

What a wonderful place. Too bad nobody lives there. It is so beautiful & could be even more beautiful if a family lived there & decorated it as a home. It needs to be loved.

It's kept up in amazingly beautiful condition. The bedroom and bathroom situations are very odd. Assuming there was no choice but to situate some of the bathrooms as hallways into a bedroom. So odd to pass through a bathroom to get to into the main room or sinks & tubs next to the bed. Was there a shower room for all those bedrooms in the smaller house? They all seemed to have a toilet and sink in the bedroom but no tubs or showers. It's seems very French to put toilets and sinks in random places. I had always assumed it was out of necessity then I watched a renovation by Americans. All the rooms made sense. Complete bathrooms next to bedrooms, closets, kitchens that had counters, storage & full refrigerators (not mini bar fridges that hold next to nothing). One thing that is amazing is that this chateau is decorated beautifully. It doesn't have IKEA looking decor that seems so popular in Europe. The decor is elegant.
