I am an atmospheric science student at UND and I hope to have this channel for my weather videos but I'll include some random videos sometimes too
heavy snow in Binghamton NY
video taken at around 3 am, snowfall rates between 4 and 6 inches per hour. Storm total was 40 inches at my location by the next morning.

Snowstorm Crawford Notch May 2017

This was a pretty cool phenomena that I experienced driving through Crawford Notch on May 14, 2017. Went from no snow to 4-6 inches of snow in only a short distance. While hiking Garfield mt in New Hampshire, I came across this small pool of water that was being feed by water dropping off of moss. This resulted in this cool display of water's surface tention!
Deicing on Mount Washington in 100+ mph winds

Winds over 100 mph start at 2:00 Early in the morning on March 29th, Mount Washington had a strong wind storm that produced the highest gust so far of the 2015/2016 winter season at 133 mph. Mount Washington Brocken Spectre

We had some patches of fog racing up the side of the mountain that allowed for conditions favorable for the formation of some short lived brocken spectre. This occurred on the evening of 9-17-2015.

This was on Highway 2 from about 20 miles west of Grand forks to about 10 miles west of Grand Forks. It is unfortunate that I do not have any equipment that could pick up the winds that I was driving in. I would not be surprised if the wind speeds were close to hurricane force.
Tornado Warning at UND 7-21-2014

Had a large MCS move through Grand Forks ND, and on the leading edge there was some strong winds and some strong rotation at times and one of the strong circulations got close to the city causing the tornado warning to be issued. Chased the storm for a while before it even got to Grand Forks but that video will take longer to edit.

Went for a drive outside of town with some friends and the passenger in my car took most of the video. During the time of this video, winds were sustained at around 40 with gust to around 52 mph

We were chasing a small storm outside of Cando ND. Right after this core punch the storm intensified. I was driving so I could not get any more video

I got on the front edge of the storm in Devils Lake. I didn't stay much longer because a bigger storm popped up just north of Fargo so I left to catch that one and it weakened before i got there.

I always thought colrado was known to have nice weather, but i guess colorado gets it's fair share of bad weather also.
Quite often though usually it is just pea to marble size, though we usually get one good hail a year with quarter size or bigger, this was the biggest hail at my house since 2005

Yeah, we have to get our roof done again haha, we just got it replaced last fall.

Thanks for the vid. What an amazing storm.
If i had a helmet i would have, the hail was coming down with enough force to put several holes in my roof and break every skylight in the neighborhood so it would have been pretty stupid to run out in the hail, but i should have ran out there with my baseball glove haha
If you were a real man, you'd fly an airplane through that storm. Airplanes like nothing better than slamming into ice at 200+ knots. If I were there I'd pull my pants open and try to catch hailstones in my pants. Or go out with some tea and make some ice tea.
Not all the hail was golf ball but there was some especially when the hail first started to fall, the one i picked up at the begging was smaller then what started to fall later

haha i talked too much during this video sorry about that, it wasnt the worst storm we had but it was the biggest we've had in 6 years so i was over dramatic, next video i will not talk as much
