No frills, just pure passion for two wheels and the open road. Subscribe if you're into motorcycles, adventures, and raw, real content from one rider to another. Let’s hit the throttle together!
May I ask what is your weight? I suspect the bike was made for smoother roads with heavier riders.
@@iliakag 103kilos :) Smoother road yes, but doesnt make any sense why they would add the scrambler dna in styling and marketing if this thing was made for smoother roads.
@@weirdmanrides Firm feeling suspension with that weight is worrying - I always thought that those complaints come from lighter riders. Well, I guess, I'll have to wait till my country starts importing the bike to test it. Thanks.
@ absolutely worrying and disheartening that the whole 650 series has bad suspensions. If YSS can do it, RE should do it too, but they are too busy coming up with new bikes every fortnight.
Very nice video, And you have good voice for Vlogs. You can use Hazzard in fog to be more visible for incoming traffic.
@@mr.j4006 thanks mate. I usually use hazard when i am stationary. My maddog foglamps have great throw, so i keep that on.
Your country has to do something about the flow of traffic. It’s crazy this is legal lol
@@TeslaParadox lmao. Give us another 20 years :)
Bro anti fog spray..C’mon.
@@Mebrown_NoBot never really worked for me, which one do you use?
This bike looks so awesome and has quite decent specs. Also seems to be adequate for tall riders. But I'm worried about the hard suspension. I have back issues. Even I like the bear more, I would tend to Himalayan to have good suspension for poor roads. And for German market, the prices of RE are absolutely competitive.
@@Randyak1 i wouldnt recommend if you have back issues. Himalayan is a way better machine and value for money. Do check out the triumph scrambler 400x as well. It’s similar range and has great suspension.
I have seen many appearance improvements on Royal Enfield bikes, but when will the power be improved? 35Kw is not much.....
@@josefuncovsky2274 I got your point, but I really enjoy that there are coming more and more bikes that do not try to compete with vast power and fiddly technical features. I personally downgraded several years ago from a bandit 1250. Now I enjoy to ride single cylinder bikes in the 300 to 500ccm class. I have not less fun than back in the days with my 1250 Bandit. Really looking forward to testride Himalayan 450.
@@Randyak1 👍👍👍👍
It’s enough. I’ve got a Continental GT650 and a GSXR1000. I enjoy the GT650 just as much.
jap suspension is rubbish-how it managed to get to production like that is hard to understand. They should use Marzochi or what MotoGuzzi use-their suspension is superb.
Great video!
Dude, I checked out all your videos and you come across as a nice, friendly, levelheaded guy. You seem to see things from a wider perspective and I applaud you for it. You should change the name of your channel, because “weirdman” doesnt fit with you.. I would not last a day in India before conducting a couple of murders ( truckdriver myself, and felt embarrased about that idiot), but you keep your cool. 👌
@@pieter3525 haha, weirdman because it is a reflection on society. :) And i get your frustration. Fight or flight takes over. Even the best gear will not save anyone from a heavy vehicle. Dying sucks man. Hope things get regulated here in days to come.
Very nice videos you got here. Nice channel. Instant sub 👌
@@pieter3525 thank you!!!
Bro should i buy it in Feb 2025? First bike i ride activa before so im new to bikes
@@vladimirputin7056 if you are above 5’10“, go for it. It is a beginner friendly motorcycle. If you are below, you can still test ride and see, there will be a learning curve.
@weirdmanrides 5"11 bro i went to the showroom height is perfect for me but they dont give test ride and also i need practice
@ they never deny test rides, unless you've never rode a geared bike. Practice on a friend’s bike in that case. You don't want to drop your new bike :)
best honest review
You have a great Voice bro. Nice Mic too Keep it up.
@@AsaBharatKavuru thanks friend, its a dji mic mini
Can you compare it to goldstar (gs) 650? I test rode the mavrick, scrambler 400x, gs and bear. And I liked the gs more than all other bikes.
@@skp54 will surely look into it, thanks for the suggestion.
@weirdmanrides Thanks👍
Honest answer: your 400x or secretly this bear 650? And foremost: why? (Im in the market for both 😉)
@@pieter3525 great question. 400X hands down. Build quality is way better, suspension is amazing, great rider triangle, good heat management, can do way better on softroads. Although bear trumps triumph on brakes and power, a bit of tuning and sintered brake pads will do wonders on 400X. And best part, its way cheaper too.
The scramble is a road bike
yaak thuuuuu.......................
Awesome footage dude..! My only concern is there is no main stand..! Did you face any problems because of it?
@@narendranaramala not much, i am used to it, but besides occasional chain lube sessions, i don’t really miss it. I use a roller anyway. But if its parking you’re concerned, this thing has the most upright side stand ive ever seen.
@@weirdmanrides awesome. thanks for the prompt reply. Appreciate it. Happy riding and do upload more videos.
Himalayan or scrambler 400x ? Which one is reliable and easy on pockets?
Both are not that easy on pockets. Both have low mileage and service cost isnt that different. Ill say both are equal in this regard.
This is great! I do want to mention that your subtitles are wrong in very important parts but the thought is nice. It’s easy to criticize someone else’s work but you did a lot right and I enjoyed it so thank you!
I appreciate the feedback! It motivates me to do better. I noticed the issues later on, but had already screwed up.
tyres are rubbish-battery is rubbish-suspension is rubbish-no main stand-no bash plate-no screen-no carrier. Handlebars are not for off road purpose.
@@frankpinion4937 if only bear was made for adventures :) This is a road bike that looks cool. That is the extent of it.
Price is rubbish too.😂😂😂 You never say that. Go buy 10L FOREIGN BRAND BIKE. YOU DESERVE THAT
@@weirdmanrides Himalayan 650 coming out for you my friend.
Funny "Bear" intro! Really odd that everyone complains about the overly stiff suspension. RE must have arranged to buy thousands of shocks and springs that are too stiff and now they have to put them on the bikes. YSS is already selling shocks that work much better and weigh a lot less. But. buy a new bike and right away have to buy new shocks? That's lousy.
Thank you, and yes, seems that way, which is sad.
you'r wrong about the hazard guy just bring around that guy in hazardous , hes warning others XD
@@authenticchinese9773 haha
6:06 is the tyre or the Mud guard not proportional ? Or iam I tripping ?
It’s an optical illusion due to angle and speed. :)
listening to the audio over off-road patch was like watching porn ;)
The fact that it looks soo cool would be the sole reason would buy it
@@Nixoholic amen to that
Good ride
Shit Suspension!" What a shame. I bought the Shotgun and i ll sell it, because of the stiff suspension. Its so hard. I need some smooth..... and now the lovely Bear- all my hope - - HAS A HARD Suspension..... Fuck my life.
@@Dagehtslang It is way too hard to :) On the contrary, you can still opt for super meteor or himalayan. They are couches on wheels.
@@weirdmanrides How about the "old" Interceptor 650?
@@DagehtslangBear definitely has better suspension than interceptor 650. It all depends on what terrain you usually commute. If its mostly smooth roads, bear is more planted and stable. Super meteor is a great option too. But if its broken, and patchy, interceptor. If its offroad, softroad, definitely himalayan.
YSS has good suspension for Interceptor and shotgun. Sadly aftermarket suspension is the only option left if you want to ride the new 650s.
@@rahul_khairnar Just hoping they release a good solution option for this bike, then I will buy this, otherwise holding my booking.
nice video sir and your voice makes the video feel like zen
Thank you :)
My guess is that the RE Bear could be quite a hit in Europe, but it will land in a tough competition, so it would need a working suspension.
In the price segment yes it will take over a good enough market share. And i believe the stiff suspension won’t pose much issues in good tarmac. In India, good tarmac is rare. This feels purpose built for export.
Im 6'2". With my 235 lbs (105kg) plus all the bags and gear for a multi-day camping/ road trip, i suspect the suspension will be ok for me. I hope to replace one of my Himalayans with one of these.
@@donovandale7077I am the same weight, 105. With additional weight it will be perfect. Go for it! Mind you, this doesnt have traction control, or any fancy computer stuff apart from ABS. But then again, if you are used to the Himalayan, you will be fine.
Skidding isn't from lack of.traction control
@ youre right, rear wheel spun out of control due to non rev matched downshift. And that can happen to a lot of inexperienced riders. But it did skid. In such cases maybe traction control can help.
I prefer solo rides, it’s much more peaceful and relaxed. You have echoed my thoughts, I have found big group rides are so bizarre and absolute nuisance on roads, seems more like show of strength.
Exactly. I’ve always found it easy to introspect on a motorcycle. And being alone is crucial for that.
Hey in engine braking we use clutch right to down shift, but doesn't that make the bike free. Mainly in downhill or anywhere
Hey Harsh, you blip the throttle, shift down in a millisecond and release the clutch. Its supposed to be done in one smooth motion. Engine will make noise but thats what its supposed to do.
Loved the video 💯
Glad you liked it! 👍
Hi do you feel that the suspension is stiff for city potholes and sometimes it doesnt absorb the bumps and gives a back breaking feeling , i own a scrambler 400x and the suspension is a bit stiff for the city and the bike pulls to the right side when i leave my hands off the handlebar , any issues noticed by you and what is the tyre pressure you use?
I have set mine to 26F and 33R. Suspension seems quite soft to me, please check if it is set to 3. And regarding the pull to left, you need to go get it checked as it can be due to various factors. But it definitely shouldn’t pull any side. Mine doesn’t have any of these issues. Hope that helps.
@ I can sort these problems out but i have one more my chain makes sound on potholes and it dries out quite early in a few days after lubing and cleaning , feels like it is in a need of clean and lubing again , how often do you clean and lube your chain?
@@jainam56 The norm is to lube the chain every 400km. Or after every off-road ride as the dust sticks easily. And the chain making sound could be because it is loose. Can be adjusted at home or you can get it adjusted at any mechanic.
@ i checked the chain it is tight enough as per the recommendation i think it is hitting the swingarm
@ then you have a bigger problem. Unclean unlubed chain can also cause noise. Rule that out. But best case scenario is to take your bike for an inspection. All these small things pile up into something big.
Sounds like a fun bike but is it worth the price. Why is the speed much cheaper than this.
It is totally worth it since its priced well and the finish is just awesome, triumph made sure that the quality is at par with its big bikes. Has its own quirks but nothing significant. Speed is a road bike, this one has dual purpose capability. And the suspension is way better for bad roads. Proper triumph scrambler pedigree. Do take a test ride :)

What position is your rear suspension in? I find it a little hard midway at 5 . I'm trying to get it softer
@@666whippy set at 3. You need to also take your tyre pressure in account. If it’s too much, it can cause significant hardness.
I think the music volume was a wee bit low… maybe next time crank it up to 11

Spectacles n helmet in foggy n nyt rides is big issue and especially with 400x headlight its a pain . What is ur solution for it ??
Unfortunately, not much can be done for us with specs. Just keep the visor open a little bit for better airflow, that will alleviate things a little. I wont recommend keeping visor fully open as bugs hitting your face at high speed can be super irritating, and painful. That said, you can fix the headlight issue by installing a good HJC or Maddog AUX lights. You can get it fitted as an approved accessory from the dealer itself. Costs 12-13k INR and is must for this bike.
Man I enjoyed watching this. Very nice bike. Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
