I just see the explanation now, damn. I always wondered why when they were doing Dublin-DERRY specials they did not run an Enterprise stock, the normal NIR stock are not comfortable enough for a 4 hour journey.

It is its a fantastic station still alot of work to carry out. It's double the amount of platforms GVS had.

@AnthonyFurnival with Grand Central opening Enterprise services will be starting/terminating there instead of Lanyon the DDs will use it when going to & From York Road from the new Transport Hub & ECS trains will use it engineering trains LE movements ETC. Enterprise services will use it if there diverted to Lanyon temporarily if the line into Grand Central Closes for Engineering works ETC

It's ran to Inchicore Works but it's very Rare to see that to get to Inchicore from Connolly it's ran along the Maynooth line past Drumcondra to Glasnevin Junction then along the Connolly to Heuston link line via Phonixe Park tunnel then along part of the Heuston line to Inchicore

@@TrainVideosNI What I meant was running to Maynooth itself rather than “along the Maynooth line as far as Glasnevin Junction. There is a difference.

Not really it is a big station like very modern

It's not for a new route the reason was a test run

Friday 10th May 2023 the day this Video was took was the stations finial day of operation before Shuting permently to public & the next stage of track work for the new Belfast Grand Central station whitch is being built next to it could take place.
