Why are there so many fires in this same area? If I lived there I would install a hydrant in my yard and stay to fight fire. Fire depts sure didn't.

EJ Crandell I have been after code enforcement for this being the third year in a row to trim back the overgrowth on Lakeview Drive from Highway 20 all the way up to the intersection of Konocti. For the past two years nothing has been done. Approximately three months ago I put in a hazardous vegetation request request and it shows that it has been assigned BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! This is a perfect example of what I was talking about as far as people being able to flee, the fire! No trimming has been done to date. There are blind spots because trees are blocking the view on one of the curves going up and going down. This needs you were immediate attention!🤬😡😫

Chief Turbeville, I'm really happy to see this video and I hope you'll do more. This video promotes funding for prescribed burns and larger land management mitigations. (I'd love it if this got some traction with decision makers for Trione Annadel S.P.) Please do a couple videos that zoom in on what saved houses and what doomed houses. Help us convince people to start at the home and work out. Thanks from Oakmont for all you do.

Great job containing the fire sadly it was caused by a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of my friend and boss. 😢may he rest in peace. Glad that it didn’t harm anyone else.

This is only a guess, but I'm betting pilots who also train with VR flight simulators have an easier time with the transition to NVG. I fly IRL and in VR and it was a significant thing to get used to going into VR due to the limited FOV. Spending time in the VR sim and then going back to flying a real AC, I've noticed that my ability to process split-second sight pictures has been getting easier. You have to keep your head moving so much during flight and VR flight is no different. That limited sight picture lends itself well to training your subconscious to process those images while you keep up your scan. When you get good at that, you don't even have to think about how to move the controls; it just becomes reflex. YMMV, though, so take it for what it's worth to you. :)
