DEPUTY TERRY BRIEFLY TELLS ABOUT THE FBI FIREFIGHT WITH TWO BANK ROBBERS IN APRIL 1986 THAT TOOK THE LIVES OF SPECIAL AGENTS GROGAN AND DOVE.
Always leave the foil intact and use a pin to make the smallest hole possible on the edge, not the middle to apply. Tru-Oil uses the same container and they are notorious for drying out quickly. It's a badly designed cap that hasn't changed in 50 years. Keeping the foil on helps immensely.
Bullets are from hornady, not nosler. Golly geepers sir!
Use a taper crimp die. It works better
It works on the barrel & and receiver too. #1 in my book 👍🏻
Can you tell Winchester to stop crimping there bottle neck rifle rounds!!! No reason at all to crimp one!!!
I had it done through the Glockstore in Nashville. They don’t actually do the coating though, they send it off to someplace?? It can take several months.
Who np3 your glock?
Great video!
I only crimp for tubular magazines
Is that little red tip messing with the over all length? If it is, that really wouldn't matter would it?
That is very true. Controlling all variables while reloading has resulted in a lot of my money going into other’s pockets. I may go back to,leather tooling.
My experience has been slightly different. Nosler and Lapua are almost always good-to-go out of the bag, but most other brands have a significant percentage of cases with out-of-round case necks or other problems. I don’t remember ever having to resize new Nosler cases though.
Lapua now comes in a box where each case is in a slot which better protects the cases. I miss their blue plastic boxes they used to come in. Any brass that comes packaged together such as in a bag, where they are in contact, are at risk for dinged necks. I've had dings with Norma, Nosler, Lapua, Winchester, Remington, Sig, Starline, Federal, etc. So far, when I buy new brass that comes in the plastic ammo box, I've never had an issue with Peterson, Alpha, ADG. I did buy a bulk pack of Peterson 7PRC brass that came in a huge bag (250 count). Naturally I had some dinged necks. One thing I've never seen a need for is to FL size virgin brass. I've never had the body come into contact with the die. I've seen people go through the process of lubing them when it's not necessary. Only thing I do is put them in a neck bushing die, then over a turn mandrel to ensure uniformity. Good to go.

Deputy, Thinking outside of the box, i like it ! The majority of my 30-30 loads are with the .310' cast 45 grain round ball w/5.0 gr's Unique (mostly for grouse but happily used for chattering, buck toothed, squinty eyed, flicker tailed squirrels) and dimpled, 98 grain DEWC's w/7.0 gr's Trail Boss for plugging dead trees and stumps at 100-150 yards and water balloons and jugs much closer. ☆
I just touch my brass with the fingers of the die for a minimal crimp. Doesn't take much.
I sure did learn that the hard way. Thank you Sir.
