I slept in a box in Taiwan. MUJI's KW2 Hostel, Kaohsiung (高雄市, 台灣) 🇹🇼
My first time sleeping in a box!
The KW2 Hostel in Kaohsiung is designed to incorporate Muji's furnishings and is uniquely placed inside a shopping mall.
I usually make at least one trip to Kaohsiung each year and I always enjoy heading to this port city in the South of Taiwan.

You touched on women out in the public. How would your say the corporate places treat women who are working there? Is this a good country to move to and enter a corporate workforce, in your opinion?
you said for the compounds that are on the luxurious side you mentioned 80k a year but you said usd did you mean sar instead? another question if you're working for a foreign company that has an office in KSA and you're an expat ... how does taxation work in your home country say like the UK, US or Canada ?
Too. Much of your face man show us what is around you so bouring
Riyadh kinda boring
It is the capital of work education and being functional but I won’t say boring
Great video, very detailed
How does your iqama get renewed? Do u need to get an updated iqama document every 6 or 12 months?
Are u a working as a non UK resident or visa? Do u get taxed when transferring income to UK account?
few buildings just like every city in the world. nothing but talking..saudi
Thank you for the very informative video!
Got a serious work offer to go to work there. Looks quite impressive but lifeless 😮
Riyhadh is a night city most of the year, so if you go to the same places you visited today but after 4pm it will be crowded
It’s not that you’re the only tourist but nobody touring the place at the time you’ve been out, even locals won’t go out in that heat. Good filming though thanks
Hi. I understand and appreciate your comment. I should say though, that I was there in April The temperature was around 25-28c and it was not humid. I would say that weather was not a problem. If you were to compare it to cities across Europe, they are packed with tourists (which some cities complain against) even when the temperature is 35c+.
I got an offer to work in Riyadh. As a female expat, how about women's and men's interactions in the office? I worry about the rules of segregation.
Have you relocated already to saudi arabia now ??
thank u so much for the valuable information

“Unfortunately, your information is highly inaccurate, and this misleads people. The metro passes through all areas of Riyadh, and there is a main station at the airport. As for tourists and locals, they don’t go out for leisure until after sunset due to the heat. Riyadh is a nighttime city, and you will see it remarkably crowded in the evening. Even commercial stores remain open 24 hours. However, in winter, people are present almost all the time.”
Wow. What exactly is inaccurate? People told me that the metro doesn't connect to the airport, and I explained that I was just repeating what they said. I discussed the metro network and said that I hope to ride it in the future, when it opens. I was there in April, and the weather was nice during the daytime. I know that nighttime is more popular for locals that work during the day, but there was actually no reason why tourists shouldn't also be around before dark.
Is there a way to check if a company is legit? PS: Planning to come to KSA for the first time

Any news about when they will start selling alcohol like the UAE?
Don't see that happening for a few more years because of our religion islam and saudi is a majority muslim state that's why
@@hamdanakhtar40proI understand that, but if they really want to attract tourists they should allow them to enjoy themselves without limitations, like other muslim countries in the region such as UAE or Bahrain
@@psarakis340 yeah that's completely right but in islam it is prohibited to compromise on your religion for the sake of worldly affairs ( i don't know the word )
because of the heat in daytime, people go outside after 8pm or so when it cools down.
Wow, really nice video! Few foreign travelers visit Lukang. You're a professional traveler, with an in-depth trip! How many days do you stay in Taiwan?
Thank you. I am back in Singapore again after two weeks in Taiwan, but I go there once or twice a year. Soon after visiting Lukang, we went to Tainan. Unfortunately, my son had an accident in Tainan and needed treatment in hospital. My next video will be about the good and bad of my experience in Tainan.
If I'm not mistaken, I think "The Globe" is a restaurant with a dedicated elevator, you'll need to take from the ground floor. It's been more than a decade since I've been to Alfaisaliah 😁
I want to try this hostel out. Looks nice. 😊
That's a nice box
Haha... It's a lovely box
Equality has reached much longer in Europe than this insular place.
I agree that, whatever continent they're in, all non-democratic countries fall behind when it comes to levels of equality. Rather than knock it, we should be thankful that KSA is investing into tourism and further-integrating with the rest of the world. It's a positive step towards brighter future for everyone.
During my NS life, spent almost 10 over months in Southern Taiwan. Kaohsiung just one to two train stops from my Artillery base. My last visit (reservist In Camp Training) was quite a distance memory. I reckon many things must have changed.
Ah, nice. The Pier 2 area has been developed for a few years. The Performing Arts Centre (not in my video) opened in 2018, and there are other new buildings worth checking out. Kaohsiung's main train station is also undergoing a big renovation.

Great video mate. How do you see things going in Saudi over the next 5 ish years? Improving or deteriorating?
For me, the KEY issue not about how much money they spend, but rather how the KSA government operates. It needs to make travel easier and open up visa-free travel to the EU, USA etc. As a (non-EU) Brit, I can pretty-much go visa-free, but I still found their government websites difficult to deal with. I heard that many Chinese tourists are now travelling to KSA. I may add a video about this in the future. Of course, I think having nice hotels is crucial too - which I know if something they're working on.
Why would anyone go here for? Its just an unbearable hot place with nothing.
incorrect in both assumptions
@@ViserysTheFirst Incorrect how? Saudi Arabia is totalitarian state that hasnt reached as far as European countries in equality for example
Like any big city, Riyadh has the usual malls and cafes, but it also has some historical sites too. If all plans are delivered, it will also become a far more interesting place over the next decade or so. I didn't mind that it wasn't packed with tourists.
@@ViserysTheFirstNot even arab migrants wants to go to an autocracy like Saudi Arabia they go to more advanced countries in Europe were they are free & not under Saudi control
@@welshmaninasia Saudi arabia is only for muslims. The place sucks.
Thanks for visiting. As a Saudi, the Al Faisaliah tower viewing bridge is kinda abandoned because: A) No one really goes anywhere during the day because of the heat and how everything is open till very late B)Several restaurants in the tower, including the Globe, have views that are as good if not better than the viewing platform and C) The Kingdom Skybridge is a better view anyway. I think you should try some of the homegrown cafes instead of the global chains. Nearly every street has some sort of boutique coffee shop these days in Riyadh!
There's a cafe inside the globe? Maybe that's why I couldn't get into that part..? The Scuplture Cafe is briefly featured in my video about KAFD and I visited a lot of local coffee places in Riyadh. I did go to Starbucks a couple of times and must admit that I went to Costa Coffee pretty often as there is one just outside the Kingdom Tower and the weather in April was pretty nice (when it wasn't raining!). My videos in Riyadh were my first as an amateur youtuber (with no channel at that time), but people there were very friendly and open to chatting with me. I hope to visit more of KSA.
@@welshmaninasia Yeah, there's a restaurant and a cigar lounge up there. I think they locked the door so people who go to the viewing platform don't just wander in as you need a reservation IIRC. I hope to see you soon back in KSA!
20:57 Local here.. You're very polite 😂😂
Kelung it's very nice place
It's Republic of China, Taiwan Province, Keelung
Hmmm.... if you are trying to make a joke about China, that's the PRC, not the ROC.

@@what-ug2lp wow... you are confusing me a lot
