In Wales, there is a legend of a messianic figure, destined to lead its people to freedom from subjugation. Stemming from the legends of King Arthur, the term ‘Y Mab Darogan’ (Son of Destiny) has been given to a number of historical Welsh figures over the centuries. Llewelyn the Great, Llewelyn the Last and Owain Lawgoch all held the title for a time. All ultimately fell short of the prophesy. ...

I can walk around my small Vermont hometown (population about 6,000) and see Palladio's legacy everywhere. The same is true throughout New England, where the general principles he stressed and which his buildings exemplified can be seen everywhere, even when they're reduced to the bare outlines shown in his Four Books. So much descends from those four books that one is hard-put to name all of the structures, from grand public buildings (the third Vermont capitol building) to many of the private homes built in the 18th and 19th Centuries. Palladio was the master whom generation upon generation of architects and builders relied for inspiration and instruction. The great Andrea is my main man!

No evidence that the Silures ever were defeated. They fought the Romans for thirty years, twenty of them even after their leader, Caradoc was betrayed by the Brigantes. The Romans certainly built a large town, Caerwent, for them to run as a civitas and to keep their royal line. Cardiff, Caerdydd, is so called because it means the City of the Agreement. It was where the Romans and Silures AGREED to end their warfare.

@@SteelCathedralsreally? If so I'm so sorry, that was kinda rude of me tbh. Has the audio been run through some kinda voice filter or editor? There's just something strange about the way it says certain words - the stresses and intonation on certain words is "off" compared to others. like "consul in the country" "his most famous find" and the word "papyrus". It's like there's an effect on it if it's not AI.
