What were you playing this through? Sounds great! I have a 68 LP goldtop myself.

My dream is to get a Gretsch with the sound they are famous for but I need it to stay in tune..... I don't know why this channel doesn't get more views maybe they do but UA-cam is not giving them the credit

I am fortunate that I have my dads 6130 Round Up. He bought it new in 1954. He was 19 years old. $300 was a lot of money for a 19 year old boy to spend on a guitar back then. He played it for about 40 years. He's been gone for 11 years now. I am so fortunate to have it passed on to me. It's all original and in very nice condition. I have old black and white pictures that I keep in the case with it, of him playing it at barn dances and weddings way back then. He played along with my mom's uncle, who played accordion. He bought me a $90 drum kit out of the Sears & Robuck catalog and taught me how to play drums n keep time to waltz's n polkas and two steps when I was 9 years old. I played my first gig with him when I was in the 4th grade. I made $7! So I went on to be a drummer. But he also taught me just enough guitar to het going on my own and be just a little dangerous. Lol! I take it out and play it once in a while just for the memories and to hear it. THANK YOU DAD!!!

The vintage Epiphone P90 always sounds better than the Gibson version. Even tho they were made in the same factory, go figured!

The hat is the cherry on the cake. That is the tone a lot us are chasing even though it was once the " Instantly recognisable" Fender sound. There usex to be singer in UK in the 80s called " Rita Reverb" her voice sounded like a 3-piece surf band.

Really hope you see this. I have a 1966 Strat thats identical. No outer laquer that i can see. Yours looks the same. Did Fender not Laquer all of their bodies after color coat...thanks

As a guitarist of 62+ years, I have to say that Mr. Joe is one spectacular singer/guitarist. I know he spent some time in Nashville and should have been put right to work; but I know people get homesick ... Glad he's doing these demos!!

I inherited this exact guitar from my dad, who paid $600 for it used in 1956. Still has the original ivory tuners. It has always been a family treasure.
