If you had ever driven a car on rural italian roads, you'd know that no other car but the Fiat panda 4x4 makes sense. Especially mountain roads. Literally everything about that car is practical. The width, the unpainted plastic bumpers for bump-parking and driving narrow roads, the relatively good interior space for 4 people thanks to it's boxy shape. We were in German cars and felt out of place, constantly panicking, we'd scrape something, while the natives had fun driving their Pandas. That car was not ugly designed, because it was not designed. Designer was sent on vaccation, when fiat made the car. xD A simple hammer can't be ugly, it's a natural tool. The Fiat Panda is that simple hammer as a car. And yes, the car makes absolutely 0 sense, if driven on any road that was designed for cars specifically, like in the US, or even the Italian highway system. Then it quite sucks. Otherwise agree with the List. Great Video!

You could argue than the Lamborghini LM002 (1986) was the pioneer in the high performance SUVs, with his 5.2 V12 engine... BTW you missed to say than the Lotus Carlton was based in the Omega (looks are almost the same), Opel/Vauxhall flagship model, and quite a few Omegas were sold in Europe, making the Carlton a true sleeper. You missed the Volvo V70 R, a wagon with a 2.5L turbo engine which produced 250 HP and made the 0-60 in 6.5 seconds.

The K-Code 289 first made its bones in the Shelby Cobra. It was pretty thoroughly developed by the time the GT350 was introduced. The Boss 302 street motors were under rated and actually producing closer to 345 horse power. The Boss 302 race motors made more than 460 hp. Incidentally, I’ve never seen or heard of a “hydraulic” four speed manual. There was nothing hydraulic about the BW T-10s and the Toploaders Ford used, or any of the other manual transmissions other manufacturers’ applications. The iconic Shelby 427 Cobra would cover the quarter a lot faster than the 13 second time quotes. Incidentally, never thought of a Cadillac from the 60s and 70s as muscle cars.
