What a shame. Fasting is a great tool for clearing out body and mind. Educating yourself on the benefits is a good idea
I'm on Mounjaro and it has saved my life. I wish my insurance company would pay for it for long term usage. As I have very resistant Hashimotos thyroid disease as well as a few other serious comorbities.

What if you don't have a gallbladder, is it best not to go on GLP 1
What if you no longer have your gallbladder
Also hypo-respnders may need additional hormone therapy like microdosing estrogen etc. they could have adrenal, parathyroid tumors, cortisol issues. Everyones bodies are SO unique as is everyones health journey. I’ve literally only lost one and a half pounds a week over 14 weeks. Some weeks were actually more some. There was no weight loss. I’m just averaging it out. I hope no one gives up. I’m so happy to hear about staying at lower doses and Microdosing so many people probably would’ve been better off starting and staying lower not everybody but many.
Would like to know how many people have done better on Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) compared to Semiglutide (ozempic/Wegovy)? I have been going low and slower on Ozempic but switching to Mounjaro this week. will start at a the lowest dose and stay there as long as i can. I lost 20 lbs over 14 weeks at the lowest dose of Ozempic. still have a ways to go but not giving up. focusing on meeting protein macros, walking 10k a day and drinking enough water each day also staying away from carbs etc.

Worked for me so you’re wrong
Im saving uo to join watch watchers clinic. I want to lose weight because im an emotional eater.
She doesn’t know about the crazy amazing benefits of autophagy. Poor girl.
Could he look more underwhelmed?
Ouch
If im a hyporesponder (1 pound after 3+ months, currently @ 10 mg Tirzepatide), should i titrate down if i want to stop?
Wow, 1 pound. Hmmm, it has been three months? Are you under 245lbs?
@akelaward6475 My weight is #150, bmi 27; I may not be over 200 but I've definitely gained 30+ pounds rapidly in the last 4 years which has compromised activity and mobility.
I am going to assume that you are running a 500 calorie deficit from your TDEE and doing strength training 3 times a week. Are you insulin resistant? If so, check out Lumen. You can use it to get rid of the insulin resistance.
I am a non-responder. I have stepped up to the larger doses of semaglutide and I have lost no weight at all. I am keeping my calories down under 1350, I broke my leg so I have not been able to work out. My doctor wanted 35 off to lower my cholesterol (Familial Hypercholesterolemia). I don't eat fast food, and I lean towards a whole food diet. About five years ago I did phentermine and lost 40 in about 6 months. It was pretty easy, I walked, and kept my calories under 1350. It took five years to put it back on and for the life of me I can get this 35 off... This was so expensive I am trying to stay off statins, and I do have some side affects (constipation, heartburn, a little nausea) but no weight loss.
You should be eating minimum 1500 calories. Eat more & you’ll loose weight
Can you say how long have you been trying it?
@balzoemg8415 the calories and calorie deficit go by weight. I mean. My calorie deficit is 1800. I'm bigger and tall. Theirs may be lower depending. But soon as I started eating more, high protein low calorie foods, the weight was coming off.
I have been on Mourjaro since November 2022 pre-diabetic I’ve only made it to 7.5 mcg dose I’ve lost 88 lbs. that’s almost 30% weightloss Don’t give up but give up the things that do not serve your new lifestyle. Mine was several things Stress Alcohol Diet that wasn’t making me feel good. I eat a higher protein diet but not everyday I’m living and working towards a better relationship with myself and life! This isn’t for everybody but it’s only going to work with efforts of changing your mind set!
I have lost 64 pounds on 2.5 mg and continue to lose. I also made major lifestyle changes. I walk 3 miles every day. I do weights at the gym 3-4 days each week. I eat in a calorie deficit and drink 1 gallon of water every day.
I haven’t had any side effects either.
So inspiring, its a tool along with all of those lifestyle changes you've made 🥰
Tirzepititde solved my IBS (diarrhea) issues! Absolute godsend
I've been on sema for 3 months and have gained 4 lbs. It is doing nothing for me but causing incredibly debilitating fatigue. I would like to try tirz but my doc won't prescribe that for some reason. Feeling defeated as I see many family/friends having great success with these meds with little to no effort. I am 53 and post meno by 4 years. Wish I could try another GLP-1. Surgery is not an option for me. I have 100 lbs to lose.
same for me, I'm 57, I have over 100lb to lose and lost only a few lbs in 4 months, I'm so disappointed.
@@juliejeanable Hi Julie, sorry to hear this has been your experience also. It is so disappointing. One of my family members is on Zepboung/Tirzepatide and lost 64 lbs her first 3 months. So frustrating. Are you going to continue with the sema?
@@BrensBoutique I'm really not sure what to do, I'm thinking of maybe trying tirzepatide, but worried I'll just waste more time and money, or just give keto another go, I lose weight on keto and intermittent fasting, but struggle to stick to it.
@@juliejeanable This is my story too, Julie! My husband and I did amazingly on carnivore some years back and felt like we did in our 20s- if not better. We fell off that wagon and it's been a struggle to get back to it hence the sema. However, without the benefits from the meds I figure I may just try carnivore again. Best of luck to you!!

Misleading title. GLP-1 is a naturally occurring hormone that gets depleted by a bad diet etc, it helps us regulate our weight among other things. I’m taking INULIN FIBER powder, it increases our GLP-1 Hormone by feeding our good gut bacteria. Depleted GLP-1 may in fact lead to other disorders, like PCOS…which means increasing our GLP-1 production can reverse PCOS. A study on mice shows the cysts associated with PCOS GO AWAY! There needs to be more research done on the impact to our overall health and the significance of the GLP-1 hormone!!
My clinician (I feel) wrote 10 extra starting pounds by mistake. She said I’m not a hypo responder because I lost 16 pounds in 2 months. I believe it’s only 6 pounds. Starting month 3 on whatever the 3rd dose of senaglutide is. I’m not sure it’s gonna work but -
It hasn't resolved for me after 3 months.
Thank you for sharing this information. Being in a lifetime of obesity with calorie counting for 25 years and suffering from all the obesity diseases, so glad younger ones will get help sooner. Finally at 73 my Docs feel a need to help me with GLP medications.
Surely the definition on non responders are those that get non or very little fullness or appetite suppression. If they have thus then the drug is working , weight loss comes from a calorie deficit which is helped by the appetite suppression
I have constipation, nausea, terrible heartburn, and I am so tired after a meal. So the drug is in there doing something, it just isn't helping get the weight off. I am a person who doesn't get "full" normally. My whole life I have had to fight this. I did break my leg so I am no longer walking for exercise. I am not over eating on this drug but it feels like my metabolism has slowed down so much that I am just not burning? I am eating four small meals, under 1350 calories and I eat healthy. It has made me crave some odd foods, and really not want to eat others. I love veggies (I don't eat meat). With these meds I can't eat anything green or raw??? I only have 35 to lose... this sucks, it was so expensive, my insurance won't pay for it even though I have a 29.5 BMI and high cholesterol.
Take compound. It’s much cheaper
@@balzoemg8415 I do, its still 1700.00 for three months. For me that is a lot of money.
@archerandthemouse I relate and appreciate your observant, detailed description of your experience. I feel like I can't predict what will feel/taste good anymore. 35 pounds may seem little compared to many, but when those 35 arrived rapidly in a menopause rush, there's a certain desperation to take back control; the glp-1 alas has not been giving me that sense of agency over what's going on in my body. More exercise helps me, but that's not always possible everyday. I feel like I had more success last year when I got very serious about intermittent fasting of rolling 36 hour fasts, (I was not on a glp-1) last year. Odd experience for me so far.
Long term isn't a financial option for the majority of people. Insurance companies and big Pharma don't care about people's long term health. Screw the concept of "stigma" you discuss....it's simply not feasible for most.
This woman is crazy...she doesnt undestand the mind of an overweight person...and why pairing GLP & fasting to drop weight & maintain is 100%
i had that
Didn't know I had food noise until it stopped. Like a fan or a hum in the background and someone shutting it off.
In the uk we have sea bands which you wear on your wrists for travel sickness. They work well for all nausea including chemo. Do you have them in the united states
Surgery didn't work either been there done that. My appetite is small eating about 1500 per day 100 grams protein.
Me too
How long do I continue? I am on week 21 at 7.5 due to shortage I am just going to start 10 mg. I am not losing anything. I am playing with 3 lbs. so discouraging.
Same here. I've been on 2.5, 5.0, and now halfway through first month on 7.5 of Zepbound and have lost 5 pounds by going hungry all the time. I typically don't feel any appetite suppression, maybe two or three days through this whole 2.5 month journey. I just don't get why my experience (and yours) is so different from most.
Hey! Justin
I want to research with tirzepatide
I lost 12lbs in 2 months then nothing for the next 4 months. So only lost 6%. Can't continue if don't lose more weight to much money.
Same here!! Now I’m with Weighless MD and wellness. Excellent programs and results. Six weeks and down 21 pounds. Look her up on UA-cam. She’s a dietitian with her masters degree and other certifications. She has had a brick and mortar business in Wisconsin since 2015 but they can work with anyone in the US-I live in Florida.
Oh so the people with “ozempic face” are probably just on meth.
She’s just baiting people to comment! STOP!
Even at the starter dose of 2.5 Zepbound I’ve lost 16 pounds! I’m going to go slow with titrating up. It’s allowed me to focus on eating pattern changes and adding in daily exercise.
I recommend adding a vibration platform to exercise regimen. Literally shakes up your body to stimulate lymphatic drainage and release fat. Good for building bone density for women especially. I use mine a LifePro 10 minutes in the morning to wake me up!
What's the half life of semiglutide?
Ive had the same meds numerous times . They make it a nightmare . 4 days b c .on
How we book appointment with you? Which clinic you work at?
Do you mean don't be ghetto?
Oh it’s real. And everyone I have seen has aged a good 10-15 years. Being in denial doesn’t make it less true. 😞 sorry
Great podcast
