I’ve seen many of your lectures many times and learn a lot, and putting particularly intercropping and interplanting into practice in my self sufficient, pretending to be a smaller market garden this year. Might I ask if you have experience with the JADAM approach to vegetable gardening, and if you could elaborate on that?

(Dan Kittredge) Making a compost tea Gather Soil under the healthiest plants in neighborhood "Making a compost tea or you don't even have to do that. You can just take your bucket of you know bucket of soil that's half-full cover it with water it up a little bit pour it out stick it in the tank and off you go right. You don't need to do anything fancy or complicated; you can simply go and immediately harvest from the ecosystem this broad spectrum of microbes. I like to suggest that the microbes that live in the soil are the ones who should be putting in the soil, and the microbes that live on the leaf surface so the ones usually putting on a leaf surface. And so I would suggest that if you are going to be getting microbes that you want to be using as a foliar spray for the plant leaf then you would instead of taking the soil out from underneath the plants you would be taking the leaves off of the plants and putting them in your bucket and following the same exact protocol"

Excellent presentation. The thoroughness of the information, the clarity of explanation makes this presentation a joy to view. I still have such a nagging curiosity or question in the back of my mind regarding this method of producing nutritious food versus all of the hype surrounding hydroponic food production. How can hydroponics come anywhere close in nutritional and essential mineral values in comparison to food that is grown in healthy soil?

Got to love Jim's accent. I got stuck on a few words at first like "fat hen". The info is excellent. I think we overlook the carbon/nitrogen balance in compost and think that any compost is good. Sound improves at 9 minutes as the echo disappears. Well worth watching. Weeds tell us about our soil's health if we pay attention.

😂I’m 81 now and had Post Nasal Drip for eight years. A tutor by trade, I tried every medication over an eight period and still coughed. I was a pariah everywhere until trying KNF OHN. I take 5 ml per day and post nasal drip is kept under control. Home made plant food is great for control. If l forget to take it, after a week or so the coughing start again. No mask or drug could help me. An anaesthetic cough drop could help temporarily after the coughing started. But not recommended.

It depends on what you are trying to do and on what scale you are doing it. A few Farmers in my area in Germany are successfully using compost on quite a few hectars. If I understand it correctly compost is life plus quite a bit of nutrients and a compost tea is more about adding life (microbes, fungi). Using compost on a large scale can make sense if you are replacing other inputs like lime and also want to boost the general health of your plants. Using compost tea sounds more like specialised tools to help the plant against certain diseases etc
