The Haunting Presence of Joel McHale in The Bear

In this scene from the TV show, The Bear, Carmen finally after three seasons, confronts his old boss, a role played by Joel McHale. The actor has only had sheer seconds of screentime during the run of the show, and yet, his mysterious role is undeniably powerful. Here, we finally see their confrontation play out.
Jim Carrey: Amazing Performances (1999 - 2009)

I've selected scenes from films starring Jim Carrey between the years 1999 and 2009, which as an adult, I feel was some of Jim's best work. His amazing comedy from the 90's is still there, but there is a little more maturity and more focus on giving stronger more dramatic roles. Here is to an excellent decade in the actor's movie career, some of these films releasing back to back. Please Like a...
Jim Carrey's Most Dramatic Role Ever

Much like in my Adam Sandler video, I want to share some scenes from the 2016 film, Dark Crimes with Jim Carrey and Marton Csokas. Jim's character is trying to unravel an unresolved case revolving a murder incident. Based on actual events. If anyone ever tells you Jim Carrey can't play serious...

Lmao no. Adam sandler is a middling actor at best. The only reason people think hes passable is because his career is filled chock a block with trash stinkers, so when he gets a decent role and delivers it with a shred of respectability people kiss his asscheeks for years over it. Rain over me was trash, uncut gems was next level bad, wtc etc etc, all trash turned into entry level film because his acting career is an eternal series of jack and jills and mr deeds (dogwater)

the thing that's always been so captivating about Adam Sandler in my opinion is that his best performances aren't this big, tryhard crying and screaming moments people think when they hear "good acting", it's moments of honesty like this one. I'm not seeing a character being convincing here, or an amazing performance, I'm not even seeing a movie... I'm literally there, listening to a man vent about his grief... it's such an immersive performance without even trying as hard as other performances... And this is the same guy that did goddamn "grown ups"... HE DID GROWN UPS, and he still pulls stuff like this consistently when he wants to... WTF?!

@@Mauri.El.Creador Well, it's true. The drama of it just feels correct. To me it feels like you captured a sort of dissociation, with the editing. In the present, he's trying to suicide by cop. In his head, though, is this conversation. The history. The reason why he's doing it. The life flashing before his eyes. The fact that "the present" is dead silent and not even muffled, gives it a further dreamlike and dissociated feeling. I haven't seen the film itself so it did shock me to read this is your edit.

Adam Sandler is one of my favorite actors, period. The first movie i saw him in was Mr. Deeds. he was great in it, funny and serious when he needed to be. I really wanted to see Reign Over Me when it came out in theaters, but i wasn't ever able to. now Click is always going to be that movie i dread watching, knowing what's going to happen makes it even sadder than the whiplash from when you first watch it. which is exactly what's keeping me from watching Reign Over Me, knowing it is a sad story that focuses on emotions and heavy subjects. my favorite Sandler movie is 50 First Dates, and i'd say it's in top 20 for me. it's such a silly concept at first, and it plays off that notion in the beginning. but there's that subtle tone shift, when he learns about Lucy's past and her condition. and how he was able to cope with her condition and all the things he did, not only to help her but also the way he went about making her a part of his life. it was genuine and true dedication, and every day being a new day with new experiences for her was incredibly heartwarming and sweet. Sandler and Berrymore just work so well with each other, just like they did in The Wedding Singer.
