YOUR LEOPARD GECKO’S TAIL FELL OFF | Now what?

When I say “gecko” I refer to leopard geckos. Also I forgot to add that when the gecko drops their tail there WILL be some blood. You just don’t want it to bleed continuously for an extended period of time.

    I have 2 russian tortoises and both have their own prsonality. Female 35yo is the sweetest girl and loves to hug and cuddle... Male 50+ is like lightning ball. Allways ready to explode. 🤣 I love both of them so much! 🥰🥰

    My sister rescued two Russian tortoises within a month apart, and I was all set to take the little girl that she rescued, but being retired and busy with my grandson I just didn’t think I would give it the best life😢

    You have a wonderful comedic sense of humor, which makes your video a delight to watch. Your boy looks very well taken care of. I just adopted one (George) and anxious to pick him up from Fedex tomorrow! UA-cam videos are so helpful in preparation for your new family member, the perfect fit of tortoise for "you," and learning about their dietary needs.

    I have box turtles and a Russian tortoise. I put my Russian tortoise in a 150 gallon Rubbermaid cattle tank outside during the summer. My box turtles have the run of my entire backyard because my fence is buried 2 feet underground and set in a concrete footer. I don't let my Russian tortoise and box turtles near each other because of possible fighting or disease transmission. My Russian tortoise is a female. I've been into keeping and breeding reptiles for 39 years now and also have snakes and leopard geckos. Except for the box turtles I have gotten away from the breeding aspect of keeping. There's not much I can do about the box turtles because they all live outside together. Right now my box turtles are hibernating and I won't see them until sometime in April.

    You realize that tortoises and turtles are the scavenger of the reptile kingdom? They eat feces, dead animals,and will even cannibalize themselves! Now I put my Russian in a 100 Gallon tank and he doesn't bump into the walls making noise anymore cause one morning about 3am he was bumping from 10pm I got up sneaked up behind him and while he was busy bumping into the wall I popped his ass cheek with a rubber band ! He made this loud and long hiss that sounded like when you get on a bus and the doors open, I laughed my ass off all morning and he hasn't bumped since! It's been 3 years now!😅😅😅

    I own/share my home with 9 Russian Torts (all were rescues which I was told would die for various reason coming from a Vet). But all lived in my outdoor enclosure. I love these guys. They are a wonderful pets, but don't get them from a pet store chain, get them from a rescue (abandon pet). Lastly, I wish to say I enjoyed your video it has some sound advice and a nice enclosure. Glad I came by this video :)

      @@thereptiIeguy , Well you're most welcome. What my main like of your video was how it became clear you really cared about your pet. That is number one. I've had mine since 2004 and they live 5 months a year outside in a huge 12 yard pen with burrows (they dug). Keep up your reptile posts you seem like a nature. Good luck.

    Love my Russian Tortoise. His name is Bill Murray and I’ve had him for 12 years now. He’s a great pet! He’s super active and friendly. I’d say one con is keeping his “beak” trim. He’s just squirmy if he ever needs it trimmed and it’s more like a two person job. Other than that he’s fine with being picked up and seems to ask for it often.

      if they dont drink, you should soak them in water. leave them in warm water up to where their upper and lower shell meets. they can absorb some water. food isnt an issue as they can go a long ways without food just not so with water.

    Thanks for your time making this video… I don’t want to overstep here or anything, but kale is not good for bearded dragons. It interferes with their calcium absorption, which is already an issue for them. Also, yes… their natural environment is sandy/dusty and it is beneficial to replicate that environment. You should have a separate feed tank that has paper towels to eliminate any risk for impaction (which is already pretty rare).

    • @thereptiIeguy
      @thereptiIeguy 2 роки тому

      You should check if the plants you’re using are poisonous and moss. The outside dirt may have parasites in it and the wood and rocks should be fine as long as they don’t have bugs on them. I suggest you just buy some cheap untreated dirt instead and some other stuff. Do some more research, tortoises are great pets but can be expensive!

      I suggest feeding him bugs with the greens, for instance, put some superworms (or other insects) on top of some greens and then put some underneath it. The goal is to try and get your dragon to “accidentally” eat the greens if that makes sense.
