I basically just upload whatever here, not much else to say, really.

About time I uploaded this.
I probably would've gotten around to this sooner if I had an idea on what to do with the tileset. That didn't happen until recently. As soon as I got the idea I just went with it and it turned out great. It took me about 6-ish hours to make.
Also a fan of the music, do think it's miles better than the old version.
Still don't know what to do for the boss music, let alone what to even call it, but I'll manage, somehow.

silly css update happened this morning and we got fbz loops which i wanted for a while after pathswappers were added, so i made a mini test level with pathswappers for the hell of it music made by me, not even slightly close to done but it kinda fit the level so i just went with it i need more pathswapper chunks this is not enough....

Tried to port over Thunder Tower 3's layout into CSS, didn't go very well. I am a bit upset that this one isn't possible to remake, as I do like the idea I had for the level. css jumpscare!!!!!!!! I'm going to be posting these every now and then, they're just archived versions of my old levels before I delete them. First one's Cosmic 1 cause why not. This one isn't too bad, but I did have to tweak a pretty mean part around the start of the level, cause you could get stuck for no reason.

Finally, a song that isn't a remake of an old one. This is the first song I've made that actually ends, considering the idea for Pyramid Panic 2 is it's a level with a 3 minute time limit with Robotnik attacking you occasionally through it. Another much needed remake, this time for Pyramid Panic 1's song. Really didn't like the old version much, but this one is MUCH better. Huge fan of how the level art turned out for this one, looks infinitely better than the old one, and it's got its own background now, so bonus points. After making this I can also finally start working on the other levels, granted I figure out what to do with 'em.

ignore the god awful fps and gameplay, my laptop was exploding about 48 times at once while recording this (it is abysmal, i cannot stress that enough) this is quite literally just a tiny edit of sonic's sprite to look like the one from the songs i uploaded, that's about it really

A much deserved remake of the boss music I made a couple of months ago. I tried to make this one much more intimidating than it used to be, and I think I did a pretty good job with that. Also a huge fan of the animation in the video, even if it's not all that amazing. I just wanted to make an animation of a boss fight, so I animated one to the best of my ability.

I straight up dropped css altogether because either most of the levels are: - "boss rushes" that uses rings and softlocks you if you get hit once - diner rp zones that have no meaning to be in there - straight lines w/ random enemy and hazard placement -etc
I swear people are hating on bad levels so much that they’re saying that this is bad level design. No like seriously. People in the common sections think that these are other peoples level. And this video wasn’t even talking about public levels in the first place! I swear people are being gaslighted right now

I'd say the worst is either Pyramid Panic 2 or Death Egg, both cause of the annoying level design in them. On one hand PPZ is objectively worse for level design but the latter used to be the first zone in my level pack. As for the best level? Probably Cosmic Core 1. That one didn't have too much annoyances aside from the platform pistons I luckily don't have to use anymore.

not all of these levels have multiple routes, and when they do they're barebones at best if you like the levels that's completely fine i just think they're bad compared to what i can do now

bottom bound event set with a height of 0, i don't know if it still works but i'd advise against using it since it breaks the level art and doesn't look too good

i didn't really have an actual story in mind for these old levels, i just used the shaking effect cause it looked "cool" (it doesn't) definitely an interesting theory for it though

I wouldn't say my standards are high, I just never liked these levels much in the first place, even less so now. Sure, they aren't bad by CSS standards, but in terms of the average 2D Sonic level/compared to what I'm able to make now, they're mediocre at best and have quite a few object placements that are just unfair.
