Everyone HATED this building until NOW | Haus des Meeres | Vienna, Austria
Haus des Meeres, located in Vienna, Austria, is a fascinating public aquarium housed within a historic flak tower from World War II. This unique setting provides not only a home to thousands of marine and terrestrial creatures but also offers visitors a glimpse into the building's wartime history. The structure's transformation from a wartime relic into a vibrant center for conservation and education is a story of ingenuity and renewal.
The aquarium showcases an incredible variety of marine life, including sharks, rays, and tropical fish, spread across multiple levels. One highlight is the Atlantic Tunnel, which allows visitors to walk beneath a shimmering school of fish and enjoy a diver's perspective. Beyond aquatic creatures, Haus des Meeres also houses reptiles, amphibians, and birds in its tropical house, where the environment is designed to mimic a rainforest ecosystem.
On the upper floors, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Vienna's skyline, blending the natural beauty of the creatures within with breathtaking urban vistas. The rooftop café is an excellent spot to relax and reflect on the experience, making Haus des Meeres a memorable stop for anyone exploring Vienna.

So there was an absurd rule that any break or stain meant that it would not be fulfilled at the same value. That was the banks and they would charge the people depositing. That’s changed now, but the message might not have got to staff that might be worried. From years of the owners giving them shit for a ‘dodgy note’.

The one say you are black, it doesn’t mean your skin color, it means your back is toward the sunlight, i think in English it is called exposure, so making ur face become unclear, in Taiwan, we would say ”black” in mandarin when we describe exposure. We Taiwanese don’t do that kind of stuff, because we are have various culture, we embrace everyone with different backgrounds. Anyway, welcome to been to Taiwan !

4:04 The problem with that $5 bill is there is a small check mark in ink in the bottom margin of the bill. That's enough for most vendors to reject it. There was an announcement about a month ago that the National Bank would no longer reject U.S. currency with minor defects, but a lot of vendors still won't take a bill like that.

They will accept cash, but foreign currency needs to be exchanged first. I'm sure the individual people will take it, but the business will not. At foreign currency, it must be nearly/brand new. Any markings, damage are not accepted. But I think they only accept $20 USD or higher. Not the lower amounts.
