Thank you. The car has been in the family for 60 years. The 2 laps were to get the entire field set…
What is that incredibly beautiful race car? And why 2 laps behind the pace car?
This is the best video I've watched in a long time!
Thank you. It is a fun car to race. Road Atlanta is a challenging track.
Thanks for your nice words. I enjoyed bringing it.
It was an absolute pleasure to watch this lap the track! Thanks again for bringing it out. 👏🏼👏🏼
I always wondered what it was like to wheel this beast around. Thanks for sharing!!
Ben, you are welcome. The car is raw and rough (old technology and constrained geometry) but I believe it makes me a better driver. If you can drive this quickly you can drive more modern cars. My TA car is much easier to drive.
@@Devin_Driver I bet the TA car is a little bit less of a handful than the Devin. Hopefully see you at the next HSR event at the Glen.
I have a question, come down the back straight is your braking point just before the Motul sign? And thanks for waving to the corner workers we like that.
James My target braking point was just before that point. In this car, we are still developing the car and therefore a bit more conservative braking point is required.
I am glad to hear that the wave is appreciated.
was it me or was there a lot of passing under yellow? Hey thanks for the ride.
James There was passing under the yellow. I registered my concern with HSR.
Cool video but what is this car?
Russel the car is a highly modified Devin special
Awsome
good clean race..
Thanks Dan. I really enjoyed this race. Honestly I was disappointed that is was only 5 laps because I think the racing would have been good to the end.
Thanks Michael. It is a Devin not a cobra. Sorry about the sound. My mic is not good. Not sure how to post a photo
Oh, Okay my mistake. Does it have the V12 in it?
@@miichaelneri4687 The car has a 327 chevy
@@Devin_Driver fast for a 327! My gosh
Like the song said " Hey little cobra don't you know your gonna shut um down" Making all those other cars look slow. Awesome job right there, on a tough track. Also a picture of the car would be nice too, and maybe some engine sounds.
Your car sure has a tall 1st gear!🤪🏁
Yes. We adjust rear end to match the track
Nice race right there. Would be nice if you could get more engine sounds. Other then that a great video.
Thx Michael. I need a better microphone/filter…
@@Devin_Driver Is that what it is? I don't know much about how they work. Still would love to hear the sound of your motor!
