Seems like a genuinely sweet and gracious young lady.

She's beautiful and charismatic but not an impressive singer compared to singers like Eva Cassidy, Shirley Bassey, Regine Velasquez or Susan Boyle I'm afraid.

Could she even be more charming???? THIS is SEX APPEAL .. without all of the titty baring pelvic thrusting that so many of our top "pop" singers seem to think is the one displays sexuality... THIS is what gets "under your skin" and makes you think of a performer all day long!! I'd love to hear her sing more songs from the "American Songbook" .. some of the smoky torch songs like "More Than You Know," etc.

This in one of my favorite performances of Kat's as well as one of my favorite renditions of this song ... even rivaling Frank's!!

Even on American Idol she's always known how to own the stage.

interesting how these people's voices are revealed when singing the old standards that don't require screaming but just telling a simple story. sing like this on American Idol and you'd be sent home.

Now, THIS is the kind of genre McPhee should stick with! Outstanding performance by her, and so much more pleasant to listen to than many of her other song choices in which she renders a harsh, loud delivery. She does not do that here, and she sounds great
