    We dont have those green things in the cataplut mechanism so we just replaced it with a small gear and 3×3 thingy

      we're using a choo-choo right now, but the herobot uses the winch- this fix works for either b/c it's about the source of tension

    x drive isnt that good, its better to use 4m standard drive for speed, or use it on fw for sniper, or pto for both.

      we have 4m drive now, but find it hard to take advantage of all the speed

    bro I need to add that to the winch for the rapid relay that motor takes 15 hours just to pull back down (im planning to take the frame of the rapid relay frame and redesign the ball system making it so it can throw 2 balls at once.)

      manually. just used once per match. Lots of ways to unlock- gravity gear, pneumatic, bar on another system hitting pawl. Or other ways of locking besides ratchet. Even run it under your wheel

      they intentionally made the rubber bands stretched unevenly, then used the axle to correct it automatically

      It died after the backroller became meta. The backroller uses this mechanism and uses a… well backroller. Just look up vids of “back roller vex iq”

    Hang on, wait a second... When you showed the mechanism scoring 2 balls. Why didn't you flip back the switch? Is it because when you try score 2 balls it gets stuck?

    U could also use it as a catapult with locking mechanism and a shooting mechanism for high goal. Low goal dump and high goal catapult

      The idea is you only have to score high once (or max twice) so you can make low scoring a lot faster/easier- mechs for that coming soon

      @@madisoglrobotics we think with 2m & 2 ball lipper-style low scoring (pto intake to scoring) you can score faster than with cata. and our adjustable flywheels aren’t even close to high goal

    How is the catapult motor built?

      There's an axle from 2 motors running through 36 tooth gears attached to another set of 36 tooth gears by a 3x beam. The spool is on another axle with gears that spins freely. When the motors spin one way, the gear arm pivots down and then spins the spool. When it spins the other way, it releases from the spool and the spool unwinds.

      We just looked at the reveal video, especially the end where it shows the parts. The catapult mechanism is the most tricky part!
