Thanks. I'm not sure which ones I used to be honest and I sold it so no chance finding out. The instruction mentioned 2N5952 or 2N5457 as a matched pair. I built the pedal, when I was still unexperienced so I didn't really mind back then :)

Hi, sorry for the late reply. YT tends to not inform me, when someones commenting :/. I'm pretty much sure that I used linear pots of the same value as the trim pots (B5K and B50K). Imho though the bias and the sundial are redundand as they both affect the bias (shoud've studied that schematic a lot better). I think in Gray Bench Electronics Teardown he explains that in the original the bias is set internally so that the 50% position of the sundial is 5V at one of the transistors.

Thanks a lot. I didn't mess with the internal trim pot in this video which I would highly recommend. With humbuckers you can dial it back quite a bit and then the pedal goes from crunch to early van halen to high gain. It is a lot more usable this way.

Thanks. If I recall correctly I went into the clean channel of a JVM410h. The Epiphone I used back then was equipped with a Dimarzio ToneZone in the bridge and drove the signal quite a bit.

Yeah it sure does. Be aware that there are several versions around. Aionfx has the perelandra deluxe boost which is imho the way to go as they put all the good stuff inside. As I didn't use it as much I sold it as I could easily build another one :). The ge fuzz face has the same layout iirc, so it should sound the same/similar. The only difference is the bias and contour control which you could implement in the ge ff as well.

It adds more compression. As the Video was recorded with a smartphone the audio quality is obviously not the best. But one can see how the pedal sounds. I hope I could answer your question ;)

Nope. The background noise is purely caused by the guitars not really well shielded singlecoils in front of my PC. I could have used a noisegate but I didn't want to sugarcoat. An overdrive Pedal at higher gain settings is always a bit noisy. With humbuckers though it is a lot quieter. Also the gain of the amp simulation was quite high because otherwise it is too quiet for recording. But thank you anyway for the heads up.

I also looked everywhere but found no soundsamples :/. I didn't mod the circuit but if I find the time I want to play with the trim pots with which you could adjust the gain if I understood that part correctly. I found the soldering and assembling part of the build really easy, a little bit too easy for my liking :) so I think yours will just come out fine. And maybe you will not butcher the enclosure while drilling like I did ;).
