My favourite ride cymbal. I’ve always loved the @istanbulmehmet cymbals and this 20” Turk has been my favourite and go to cymbal for many years now. The articulation, the tone and the finish are perfect for me. Put in the comments which ride cymbals you use and why they work the best for you. *Hey bro I'm still waiting for my Demo request remember Dezzy Hollow - Roll Through* 😎
aint it funky
Super.!!
@@janeyunak9272 thank you 😊🙏🥁
sick
@@JackObern thanks brother 🙏🥁🍻
Amazing right hand. Like the Funky Drummer groove.
@@paulmauceri thank you bro, appreciate the kind words 🙏🥁
@@jordanswaindrums my pleasure! keep up the cool grooving!
Much Respect! Would definitely love to have a drummer of your caliber.
@@TheOfficialJ.A.E. thank you bro! Much appreciated, happy to help on any drumming duties if I’m available 🙏🥁💚
*Can you play Dezzy Hollow - Roll Thru* 🤷🏽♂️
@@iOsitooo I can try dude 🙏🥁🍻
@@jordanswaindrums you got the skills 👍🏽 😎
*Sounds like Public Enemy - Fight The Power* 😎
1989! A number, another summer, sound of the funky drummer! Yeaaaa dude 🙌🏼🥁 I think they used the funky drummer sample for that track bro, absolute groove 🔥
@@jordanswaindrums amazing skills and talent I don't know how I got here at 4am 😂🤣🤷🏽♂️
@@iOsitooo awesome bro thank you, haha that 4am groove search, we’ve all been there my friend 🙌🏼🥁🍻
Beautiful groove! Excuse my ignorance, but what's the name for the fast repetitive soft hits on the snare right before the strong hit that you're doing with your left hand?
Thank you bro, really appreciate the kind words. It’s all good no ignorance here, all questions welcome 🙂. It’s either the drags or the ghost notes. Basically quieter notes than the loud back beat are called ghost notes and usually are used to add some flavour to grooves 🙏🥁🍻
that hilarious grip makes me mad..
And that makes me happy 😁 circle of life 🍻
I think it’s mostly the way his hand looks lmao, it makes it look mor ridiculous than it actually is. Cause in all honesty I’m jealous man! Got crazy control and strength in your wrist and fingers mate.
Ahem that what she said
The ghost notes, the snare, the bass head, the hi-hat, everything about this video is crispy
Thank you brother, much appreciate the kind words 🙏🥁❤️
Oh for Pete's sake ..any drummer playing for 6 months can play that
I certainly hope so dude 🙌🏼🍻🥁
Why the negative comment? It takes time to play the groove nicely with a good amount of ghost notes. Just vibe with the video man
Not necessarily.
yeah, nah
Excellent.
Thanks 🙏🥁🍻
I'm amazed how great drummers make it almost look effortless, although I know it's not. I'm still at the point where it looks like I'm about to stroke out when I play.
Thank you bro, appreciate the kind words 🙏🥁🍻 keep pushing and it’ll soon click, daily practice helps a lot. Haha stroke out 😂
I’m sorry, please don’t misunderstand, but it ain’t funky. Not even a little.
It’s all good not to worry, no misunderstanding, can’t please everybody 😉. It would be great to look at some of your videos but your channel has none so I can’t see your funkiness on display 🕺🏽. Thanks for stopping by and come on Mark, load some videos and gift some of that funk your talking about 🧐
“For anyone wondering why I pinned this comment out of the rest” Always show the people who take time to comment negatively. It helps build character and also a community. Hopefully Mr Gilbert could load some videos and show us all some real funk drumming, I know I’d love to see that. But, it’ll be highly unlikely and unfortunately I imagine Mark is not really the “loading videos to UA-cam” kind of geezer. Anyway, always talk to people with a smile and if you can, giving kind and constructive comments will always be more useful than negative ones ❤️🥁
I know I'm late to the party, but awesome stuff! I would love to add bass and maybe a couple of other instruments to this with your permission. If not, that's fine. Keep it up!
Hey bro, of course that would be cool as hell. Add as much instrumentation as you need, I’m sure it’ll be fire. Thanks for the kind comments 🙏🥁❤️
Beautiful playing
Thank you Tim, really appreciate your kind comment 🙏🥁🍻
That snare sound is on point. I can definitely hear James Brown screamming "HEEEEEEH" "EAAYYYUUUURRRRRRGGGGHHH" and "REVENGE".
Hahaha yes dude! Thanks for the kind comment and anytime I lay a funk groove all I can hear is JB laying some fines on me haha 🙏🥁🍻❤️
I’m sure Jabo Starks and Clyde Stubblefield are looking down from heaven thinking “yeah...this dude gets it!”
Thanks bro! Thats a really cool thing to say and I really appreciate it, keep it funky brother 🙏❤️🥁
Realize me basic is the most important thing. 감사합니다.
Fills are for thrills and groove pays the bills dude 🙏❤️🥁

Wowww!!! Awesome playing. Love the cymbal, the tone, the overtones, and specially The sustain and decay seem pretty controlled
Thank you bro 🙏❤️ appreciate the kind comments. It’s a beautiful cymbal and I use it all of the time, one of my favorites. Thanks for stopping by dude 🙌🏼❤️🥁
This is a demo!!

Thank you Cris 🙌🏼❤️🥁
Yeah oh yeah

You are amazingly talented!
Thank you for the kind words 🙌🏼💚 really appreciate you taking the time to comment, thank you 🙏🥁❤️
Ok, that sounds awesome. Great groove. Fat. Steady. Clean. Nice. What's that snare?
Thank you dude that means a lot. The snare is a Ludwig club date 14x7 with beech rings inside. Beauty drum. Thanks for stopping by bro 🙌🏼❤️🥁
I took one of those beats and threw it in the air and it turned to sunshine!
❤️🥁❤️🥁 haha bro! Best comment yet 🙏❤️🥁
that was a great comment!
Greetings from Sardegna italy. Good job

@@jordanswaindrums it’s a pleasure
Nice sound, good snare comping. I have the AGOP 20” Turk. I really like it.
Thanks Jig 🙏🍻🥁, the agop stuff is great. I really dig the Istanbul sound. I’ll check out the Agop Turk as I like that tone. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and kind comment 🙌🏼🥁❤️
Nice snare drum POP!
Thanks buddy 🙌🏼❤️🥁
Is there a Vici drums website?.... or is it only through Graham Russell?
Hi Richard. A website is in the works I believe. For any contact with Vici themselves you can go through the owner and builder Joe. I’ll attach his Facebook below facebook.com/joe.curtisleveridge

Your hand speed is next level, i assume you have many hours on either a practice pad or the kit
Thanks bro, really appreciate the comment and I do work on a practice pad, plus other hand exercises you can try. Like the sound of one hand clapping haha, sounds odd, but it’s tough and helps build the finger muscles 💪🏽🥁🙏
@jordanswaindrums Nice, I'm new to drumming, but I'm really enjoying the process, I quite like to practice rudiments from this marching snare book I got, I also appear to love to throw myself into grooves that are a bit over my level however I'm starting to be able to play them Edit: grooves from James Brown and I also tried to learn the fool in the rain shuffle
@@profocelot keep practicing dude and it’ll all fall into place eventually. Any tips of tricks you may need let me know but UA-cam has a vast range of tutorials to learn with. Enjoy buddy 🙌🏼❤️🥁
Kit sounds nice
Thanks bro 🙌🏼🥁
excellent combination snare and drum sound are perfect! and time subdivision is spot on!
Thank you buddy, much appreciated 🙌🏼❤️🥁
I love the crispy snare sound!
You are extremely underrated as a UA-camr. Your groove is insane🔥🔥🔥
Dude, thank you so much. Really appreciate that 🙌🏼❤️🥁
The groove is so extremely tight.😮💨
Thanks brother 🙌🏼❤️🥁
Your drums sounds like the original song.
Thank you Mr Moon! That means a lot 🙌🏼❤️🥁
The right hand technique looks like tendinitis to me...
Up to now, 3 years later, all is good, thanks for stopping by 🙌🏼🕺🏽
I like to watch the videos of the people who comment and can see your into your technique with the hockey vids. From the video titled “untitled one” I can honestly say your gripping really tight buddy and can see the muscle from your right hand at a constant muscle rigidity. That will in the long run bring trouble when trying to work at faster tempos, or even when your playing at higher volumes. I’d say finger technique would be great for you to loosen that grip. Try and make sure you’ve got a good gap between your thumb and first finger while holding the stick and try and be relaxed. Lots of different techniques can be used in different applications, would be a shame to not try them all out and see what works best for you. Look at any Freddy Gruber video on technique, will change the way you play I’m sure. God speed and good luck
@@jordanswaindrumsDamn!! You responded the best way possible 🥁
