The sign has a single diamond, but the trail maps have it as double diamond. I'd say it's a very rugged single diamond. #mtb #whistler

was just in whistler and got to say the huge ruts and braking bumps on freight train after the container drop were horrible😭
That's crazy! Great ride!
Where dafuck's the big rock? Oh. Ha! Been a while, glad to see you are over 1k subs. Keep it up. What is your current bike?
haha I was expecting a big rock more immediate there. Currently on a Stumpjumper Evo Alloy with Shimano XT components. I've been smashing up my carbon frames. I was riding a Trek Fuel Ex Gen 6 for a few months in New Zealand, but did not like it. The Sj is superior both uphill and down.
Unbelievable - like your videos!
Glad to hear it. Thank you!.
Ty bro!
You're welcome.
Great Video! Thank you for not putting music over it! Love the sweet sound of the ride!
Not on my rackety ass bike. The loose spokes and derailleur just clank the whole time😂
Haha get on that maintenance!
Amazing….
Good review man, I didn't expect you to hit a line on 140mm of travel. I guess i fall into what you were talking about regarding people who think they need more travel than they actually do. Im looking at getting a status 140 for my trail bike but i also want it to be able to be a backup bike for when my Enduro bike is out so it needs to be able to handle bike parks and all of that while also being a good trail bike for the non shuttle parks and for climbing when i have used all my shuttle passes. In your personal opinion would the status 140 be good for that use or should i just get a normal trail bike?
It would be a good bike for that! A bleed fixed the rear brake to where It's good on any trail. Actually I was riding the Status on double diamond tech in Queenstown. For an all-around the Stumpjumper evo is a little better. I'm riding an evo alloy this summer in whistler.
Nice!
Thanks!
All bikers that watch my videos agree. All of the non-bikers disagree 😂
haha
was having alitte too much fun oops
Tried this trail for the first time today was pretty good just the lead up to the 2nd switch back was dicey
I think his balls were cracked in the morning after that ride
i was hitin tables today and i thought i was good
have fun and progress!
But it is very hard to find status on their website. It’s not direct specialized order that is so bad. Can you please send me a link for a status S2 size please?? 😊 Ohio area here.
I've heard Specialized will be releasing a new Status and Stumpjumper in July.
Won't be the last full pull dirtymerch
Dope man
Thank you for sharing your MTB - time with us. Your speed allows to enjoy the trail and scenery! don't ride faster ;)
Thank you.
Very rough!
I so love it. I'll do it this summer for sure!
It's a great run.
Thanks for sharing. I'll try this combo for sure! SUBSCRIBED!
This is a much better way into the flow trail because once you finish the flow trail and climb back up its all down hill to your car. If you start on the ridge trail side you have to climb out and up to get back to your car which really sucks!!
yea boi!!
Nice! What was the hey, hey at the end? Was somebody on the trail?
Ah my gf was at the last jump to get a pic.
@@coreymtb Sick!
This status 140mm can possible change to 160mm travel of the rear shock??? Just asking.
I am not sure on that. For what it's worth though, 20mm of travel is really unnoticeable. For example I am currently riding a Stumjumper Evo with 160 upfront, but I still get around just as well on the Status.
Ah ok. Because the status frameset in the website of spaceliazed are out of stocks. And here in Philippines prize of status 160 frameset is double.. im planning to buy but not here in Philippines.. btw thanks for answering my question...
I like both.😁😁😍🤩
Holy cow! Nice! Was that scary?
Not really. I've done all this before.
They sure changed up A-line since I was there twenty years ago. I can tell you are moving by the way you’re overshooting those jumps.
Yes they keep adding stuff into it every year and made the top section like a BMX track.
Totally agree. Adding music often gives me the "check out how cool I am" vibe. No music just let's me enjoy the persons talent allowing me to conclude for myself that they are indeed cool ;)
Whistler would be so nice to go back to, especially after 3 years
Damn that save. I clenched on that one
Now do it no hands😂
Nice save!!! 0.54 🤟
I lived in San Jose for 10 years, and a buddy and I rode here almost every weekend from 1996 - 2001 or so. Enchanted Loop was our favorite section, this sure brought back some memories. Afterwards, there was a Greek restaurant just on the south side of Highway 1 where we'd grab a falafel and then usually go over to Steamer's Lane and watch the surfers (and girls).
Time july 2023 All these trails are great. Hard luck has a lot of jumps and a HUGE DROP AT 1:31 in the video. Side door is very fast with jumps and great views. And B-line is a very tecnical route with lots of features past my riding ability (Im a 13 year old and this is only my second time doing downhill mountain biking 😂) I had to go slower but I made it through all the way. My cousin was not so lucky (this was his very first time doing downhill) he over shot a straight drop off at 10:04 in the video and crashed very badly. When he over shot it he had to much speed so he tried to slow down but locked up his rear causing him to slide out onto rocky dirt 4feet in to a tree head first. Thank god for helmets 😱 but we should have been wearing arm and knee pads because he was very torn up with some pretty deep wounds from the rocks. If you can see those trees on the left side at 10:07 that is were he hit is head and was on the ground. Thankfully he is fine now and it was towards the very end of the trip. But he said even though he crashed this was his favorite part of the trip (trip was a week).
I did this epoxy hack without watching this video, I also took great care getting the epoxy into the rail pockets. Unfortunately the after 8 months the creaking is back! But it did work for many miles.
Mine is still going solid!
Where did u get on to it
Sending you an instagram message.
E? Mtb…..?
No not an e bike
The annoying part is, Selle Italia state in their warranty that “sometimes if you do not maintain your saddle it may creak, but this is not covered by warranty”. Remarkable that every single user has this problem, but definitely not a manufacturing fault eh
Oh wow I didn't know that. I am still using this saddle creak free, almost a year now.
@@coreymtbdidn’t work for me I’m afraid, I had high hopes.
You rode on one of the bridges I helped my cousin build for an egal scout project and it's the very first bridge on Twisted Sister
Thank you for the trail work!
Coming from bmx to mtb and seeing you describe this bike as budget is so funny, this bike price would of been the highest of grades in bmx pricing 🤣 good review though, keep up the good work
MTB is pricey. All things relative, there aren't many full suspension bikes at this price.
I bought 54T for replace my default 18T and then went back to 18T, I like it more.
I can't tell any practical difference between them. I like the quiet of the 18 so that is what I have been rolling with.
do you consider converting it to full 27.5 with 170 ?
Na I wouldn't. I don't see any worthy value in doing that.
Fingerless gloves, half lid no visor. Dude is a VIBE haha
No pads, candy pedals, xc spandex and cruising by all the peeps in full DH kit in Whistler bike park
Bro, that was my scene in 2005! Keep it alive😂
Stay fly spandex guy!
Awesome video! Is that the Lilly drone?
Hey Corey, great video! What camera are you using?
Hey it is a GoPro hero 9.
@@coreymtb Thanks!
Very clear go pro
Thanks that's actually on a hero 9! Lighting was good that day!
