why wont it let me drag an drop, AND it wont show up on the damn tree if i manually drop it in the file browser
I want to capture animation from videos in xr animator and then retarget it in metahuman, but I don't know how to retarget it, I tried even in blender but it didn't work, please let me know if there's any simple solution
PSA: might be an anecdote but it corrupted my level in 5.4.4. It looks like a cool plugin and works really fast in the starter scenes but setting it up on a larger scene causes the level to crash on accessing it subsequently. So be sure you duplicate your project before you try to use this.
@@occristian1 you will need a powerful GPU if you want to use it at high resolution otherwise it’s possible to get a VRAM crash yes

this seems to only really work if the monitor resolution is the same as the node viewport. When I try this locally on a machine that has 5400x2100 monitor resolution, my NDI stream has the entire height and width of the window recorded as the viewport and not just the 1920x1080 region of interest. Is there any way to make OWL NDI capture actually ONLY capture the viewport region as defined by the nDisplay config?
For now the viewport capture will always be the resolution of the viewport. Perhaps a secondary program such as resolume could handle a live crop afterwards. But this is a great feature to think about including down the line.
@@offworldlive thanks. that's how I've resolved to handling it. Would love to be able to do all natively inside unreal! Tried to manipulate sceneCapture2D instances, but the math got too overwhelming.

I'm frustrated, I've spent the whole night trying to get my iPad to show up in the Live Link on Unreal Editor, and it's not showing up. I have the IPs configured the same on both my MacBook and iPad (I use an iPad, not an iPhone), I've already checked that the IPs match, I have the plugins installed correctly, and still nothing! Hello, I've played as a video tutorial, but unlike the video, the rotation of the arms, fingers, etc. plays weirdly. Can you tell me why?
I was able to get it to track in unreal but the arms are crossing into the body of the metahuman. To get around the compile error in the animbp, i deleted the control rig node, was that important to accurate tracking?
I see there's a 5.4 version of OWL but only VRM4U only goes up to 5.3, is there a newer version of VRM elsewhere or an alternative that works with UE 5.4? At the moment, I get a message about rebuilding the VRM plugins but the project is unable to launch after that.

I'm trying to render a scene from Sequencer using the OWL 180/360 Rendering pass, but when I select Stereo Equiretangular it shows a warning "The chosen projection is currently not supported by this render pass", but I've seen some of your videos using it without the warning. How to solve it?
only stereo VR 180 is supported in MRQ atm - we will add stereo 360 in the next month
@@offworldlive Thanks! Another question: I rendered scene in VR 180 Stereo format, but I tested it on my Quest 2 and I couldn't notice a real depth feeling. Is there anything else I need to do to enable it?

Does this work with lumen enabled? Rendering images as 360 images works for me with different solutions but none of the support lumen, so the image usualy looks very bad

Here's one reason I'd suggest using OBS over Streamlabs other than the fact that most OBS plugins don't work with Streamlabs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streamlabs#Criticism tl;dr: Streamlabs was criticized in 2021 for copying Lightstream's design (literally plagiarising a smaller company) and misleading users into thinking it was affiliated with OBS even though they were asked not to (they used to call their software Streamlabs OBS)

@@offworldlive I tried that yesterday, and it outputs what is going to the inner frustum, but doesn’t include the geometry warping of the entire viewport. I was wondering if a viewport render would do what I needed to do.

@@offworldlive so I would launch ndisplay, either locally or through switchboard, and then by clicking on that viewport, can pass the contents and resolution of that viewport through NDI?

Hi, I downloaded the plugin and installed it but I am not seeing the OWL component when I press and search in Add. I'll look into the install to make sure I didn't miss something. My use case is as follows: Much like the people asking about VR, I'm attempting to create a live output to a 3D TV - so I need to deliver to the TV a side-by-side pair of images (Left/Right) that are stretched vertically (or compressed horizontally, same thing). My thought was to use this OWL system to 'project' two parallel camera outputs to a third camera which is looking at two planes that are next to each other. I am concerned that speed might be compromised. Does anyone think this might work or could another workflow accomplish the desired effect better?
I see the OWL plugin folder within the engine plugins (it installed correctly, assumedly) but the owl component is nowhere in the rendering tab of components to add. Has anyone else had this issue?
Update - the plugin is referred to OWL throughout, but typing OWL into the plugin search comes up blank - "Off world" will find it. Maybe no one else had this problem or was perhaps too embarrassed to mention it, but could the word OWL not be included in the plugin name?

@@jonathanbarron10 spout is windows only. There is nothing for Linux atm sadly.
I would pay for this if I could get it to work. All the settings in the details panel are fine. The problem comes when I throw the camera in sequencer, it just renders the square preview view and not VR180

Has anyone experienced a very laggy Unreal metahuman animation. Followed all steps in the tutorial, setting look correct. Is there an obvious setting for fixing very choppy metahuman animation, like 5 fps on a 4090...
Hello! Wanted to check in on this because I've been trying to find a blueprint that would let me convert VMC protocol into metahuman arkit controls like this, but all the VMC protocol plugins that are normally used are only supported in UE5.1. I use 5.3 currently, and have been trying to do it manually so it seems like you have blueprints that would be useful for this.
Have this working in Unreal(face + full body), XR animator tracking looks smooth(high fps) but on play in Unreal tracking is working but very choppy (like 3 fps)...thoughts on a fix? I'm running on a 4090...gpu is decent. <3<3<3
