Hi, I have seen 23 of your Paris videos and would like to write to you to thank you. Would you please share your email? I am a woman journalist in India who's never been to Paris. But, after watching your videos, I want to. Best
Jesus loves you, dear. Thank you for the beautiful poetry.
Thank you for watching!
I thought it was Abraham the Jew, wasn’t it? Or was that just the name of the book?
I'm not sure which I'm book that is but I believe Nicolas Flamel was a real person and referenced prior to Harry Potter
What a wonderful UA-cam channel, beautifully shot, a visual feast, so interesting and insightful . So sorry your channel never took off. The Vincent Van Gogh of UA-cam 😢
Thank you for the appreciation! No need to feel sorry as I'm proud of my videos!
Do you still have the recipe for the bread? I like that it is such a small quantity!
Hi, sorry for the late reply! I use the 90-second keto bread recipe: 3 tbsp almond flour 1 tbsp olive oil 1 egg 1 tsp baking powder Mix all ingredients well, put in a microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 90 seconds. Fast & easy
@wandersome Thank you so much! Looking forward to trying it. Enjoyed your account of Paris so much, honest, curious and whimsical without being obnoxious and your editing style really evolved over time. Hope you are able to vlog on your travels again soon!
This is so kind, thank you!
I’ll be staying in an apt in 15th in Oct. Any restaurant suggestions in the 15th?
Beautiful vignette on the 17th! Coming to Paris in August (as a solo traveler) and staying in the 17th. After several days of planned museum tours and general sightseeing, I can't wait to take a day to just relax, unwind and explore the places you visited.
I hope you have a wonderful time!
@@wandersome ♥
still like these. rewatching. :)😊
I'm glad
There is a ballerina by the name of Giuseppina Bozzacchi (23 November 1853 - 23 November 1870) buried on this cementery, she was Swanhilde in Léo Delibes' ballet Coppélia 1870, died very young, sad story, would love to see a picture of her grave.
I might have passed over it, as Montmartre is a vast cemetery.
Wow beautiful video of Mexico city! Looking forward to more 😊
Gracias!
odd .. your videos are so well done and profoundly interesting ... I don't understand why you haven't garnered a larger audience.
I'm not ambitious with promotion and discoverability. It's not a side hustle for me and I'm not trying to gain fame - just a creative outlet that others might find helpful.
You are amazing ... bonne journée -Daniel (Paris)
Merci!
Upon your recommendation I finally found my way to have lunch today at Le Bistro du Peintre. What a wonderful ambience. Transported me back 100 years. Loved every moment with a delicious meal. Thank you for sharing. -Daniel (Paris)
Quintessential turn of the century Paris. I'm glad I was able to introduce you to it!
The food looks really delicious. How do you survive in Paris having so tasty food around and still keeping yourself in a shape?
I ran! And walked an average of 6 miles every day without meaning to.
It's another beautiful park and it isn't empty as majority of others you visited parks. The food looks quite tasty and colorful.
Belleville has its charms, as I was happy to discover
The park looks really beautiful. It's surprising to see it an empty in the middle of the big city. Anyway, it's a perfect place for introverting.
I am the expert for introvert hangouts
@@wandersome I will keep it in mind.
The shrimp dish looks a very delicious.
Welcome to San Francisco. Actually, today is a good day, but tomorrow rain should return.
I do not like your diaries. No, they were to perfect that now I can watch them instead of going to Paris. So nothing good in the world without a dark side.
You made me laugh! I watch them too whenever I get heartsick for Paris...
It's truly amazing to see a chamber orchestra playing music on streets . Is it a real or it is the Paris?
That audio was from one of the professional orchestras that played at Palais Royal that day. If you ever get a chance to visit Paris, try to aim for Fete de la Musique for the excellent concerts 🎶🎼
@@wandersome I wish to go there some day and concerts will be my primary goal because the rest was covered by your diaries perfectly 👍
🙏🏼
I think the salad was just ordinary, but you make it the best. It's an amazing quality of some people.
It was ordinary but Paris made it better 😉
Did you try a book wring? It looks like your short observation people in places where you eat can create a nice short stories. You can guess a lot about people and their entire life just getting quick look at them. You should try.
I do love guessing (or inventing) people's stories. Thank you for the encouragement!
It looks like there is still summer in Paris. I watched some movie yesterday, it looks like the place you explored even better for the movie.
I think it snowed in Paris this week but I'm sure even that would be magical
I'm sorry to hear you had such a rough time returning to SF. I would advise taking French Bee which has nonstops from Paris Orly to SF for dirt cheap. You have to book through their site, since you can't book them through any of the big travel sites. A lot of time, premium is available for like 300 to 400 euros more and you'll be be treated to all-you-drink champagne and wine and really delicious meals. It's a hop and skip from the 15è to Orly. It's so easy! I'm happy to hear you're getting settled back into life in California. The 15è misses you :)
You had me at champagne! I will look into French Bee for next time. I have flown into Orly once before, headed to Lourdes. I miss the 15 eme as well ...
I loved the Paris Apartment! I've been reading & walking (Audible) historical fiction about Paris during WW2 and am looking forward to my time in Paris coming up. You've got me thinking though... is it even possible to be keto in Paris? It's my 7th year and I love how I feel but you know, Pain au chocolat. How can I not? And Berthillon for chocolate affogato. I can make a macaron under 10 carbs but Paris on keto? Enjoying your writing style and mesmerizing voice!
Thank you for your kind comments! It would be very hard to be 💯 keto but I followed my French bread & pain au chocolate days with a run the next morning to mitigate the carbs. If on a week visit - I would be purposeful about when and how I consume carbs. Definitely walk as much as you can and choose your "cheats" wisely. Enjoy yourself!
I enjoyed your Series very much. You actually did what I have been saving the past few years for. I look forward to continuing to follow your adventures here.
You're going to have the adventure of a lifetime! Thank you so much for watching!
@@wandersome Thanks so much!!!! You're welcome.
Thank you for sharing your art. Beautifully crafted stories. I bounce back and forth from Paris to my home in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Paris, forests, and the Pacific Ocean. Makes me smile ... -Daniel (Paris)
Hi, neighbor! You are living the dream life - Paris AND forests AND ocean. Something to hope for...
I am glad you are back home safely. I will miss your videos but to console myself, I will see them again as I am preparing to go back to Paris after the Olympics. Take care and thanks for the lessons learned.
Lessons learned indeed. My experience could have been worse. Paris always beckons but you're wise to wait after the Olympics.
Love love from Paris …. You are so incredible ! Bye
Merci beaucoup! 🙏🏼
Following your Parisian odyssée has been an exceptional adventure for us following it. I fell in love with the city when visiting it for the first time 1992; two wonderful weeks. Living in Sweden, it is quite easy for me to visit Paris, eleven week-long trips after 2015, the last one in July 2022. My next trip will be in September 2024. Suffering from a severe Paris abstinence, I started browsing UA-cam. Most of the stuff you find is all the same. Being 65+ and fairly familiar with the city, I am not utterly excited following UA-camrs standing in line for Mona Lisa, visiting the same oh so cute café, walking the stairs up to Sacré-Cœur and catching an Uber to get to the next monument. I think it was Balzac that said something like Walking the streets of Paris is like gastronomy for the eyes. That's the way I like to experience Paris, exploring new areas, finding new architecture, finding a new park, a new statue, having a coffe (or in my case, often a beer) outside a café just watching people and the surroundings, but also re-discover my old favorites. Now you understand my deep appreciation of your Parisian serial. Your adventure has also been very inspirational; you had the adventure I am planning for myself mid April to mid June 2025. I hope life is good to you, and that you will have the opportunity to experience the city of your dreams at least once again.
What a breathtaking comment! You have delighted me so much. Your description of your ideal Paris experience is mine as well. I've never heard that Balzac quote but it is a fitting one. Merci beaucoup!
Not sure if it was by design or not .. but I enjoyed seeing your full face for the first time in a mirror reflection at Le Bistro Du Peintre. Perhaps a mistake, perhaps a parting gift to your audience. Au revoir -Daniel (Paris)
Just don't tell the authorities, as I am wanted in several jurisdictions 😉
No worries .. I too may have a shady past. How else could one afford an apartment in Paris? 😮
Au revoir. ❤🤗
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for showing us a different side of Paris … like the flea market book sellers, etc. Maybe we’ll see you on your next Wandersome journey. À bientôt
The little discoveries are what I treasure most and it made me so happy to share them with other Paris lovers. Thank you!
We'll miss your Parisian adventures! Thank you for sharing them with us! We can always revisit them when we long for this gorgeous city!
It has been so lovely reliving my time in Paris . I appreciate your support very much!
I'll miss your Parisian adventures. What a pleasure to have your world shared. Inspirational .. and now I must find my way to Le Bistro Du Peintre. So fun .. and I sincerely hope you find time in your new life to come visit us once again. -Daniel (Paris)
How kind of you to say! Thank you for accompanying me on this journey and of course I will return to Paris. I don't think I could stay away for too long!
Your beautiful inner and Paris great combination
Please continue your journey you will be successful
Excellent deep thinking
Thank you for watching!
To go "a stray" (especially of an animal) in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication.
I actually like that definition - to wander is to escape
Woke up to this amazing video coming out, thank you for this 🫶😊
I'm happy you liked it!
I just love all your videos. My girlfriend and I are doing a girls only trip to Paris to see all the Christmas decorations and enjoy without husbands who don't appreciate the sightseeing. We have reservations to eat at Le Train Bleu on 12/11. The menu is very intimidating. What were you planing on ordering being mostly Keto? I appreciate any feedback. 😊
I envy you and your friend! I have a coworker who is planning on doing a solo extended visit like I did and I cautioned her not to let her significant other guilt her into coming home early. I like to think that I would have been adventurous and tried a dish I hadn't eaten in other visits - but I would have gone for the leg of lamb in a heartbeat. It is their specialty - the server rolls up in an ancient cart and carves the meat right in front of you. I like a dash of ceremony with my meal 🤩 It comes with a gratin of potatoes, which I probably would have eaten as a cheat! Have a wonderful time!
@@wandersome Thanks for the prompt response. I have never tried lamb. Maybe this should be the place to try it. Thanks again.
❤
Looks like you nailed it .. your Beef Bourguignon looks divine. Mine? Not so much ... mistimed my oven interval and evaporated all those wonderful and expensive juices. You've inspired me to give it another try when I return home ... and keep an eye on the clock this time! Au revoir -Daniel (Oregon, USA)
Oh no! It was hard being patient for 2 hours while it cooked in the oven - but well worth the wait ... and a retry!
Such wonderful stories you have told. I am hoping that your love of life has followed your return back home -Daniel (Paris)
Hi Daniel! I find that all I need to do is remember Paris and life suddenly becomes brighter ✨
@@wandersome I find Paris so very polarizing. While most guests feel and appreciate her charms, there are a great many others that I know will never return. And they let you know it! What I love about your videos, and I think you should be quite proud as an artist, is how you dig deeper and find the beauty where others might only see the superficial graffiti, the gray skies, the traffic, and the cultural oddities that one can either embrace or recoil from. For me, Paris is within me. Couldn't let go of her if I tried. Au revoir.
@bluewaterstudio "Paris is within me"- you've stated it beautifully! I hope that the ones who see my videos understand as you do.
This wasn´t his house; it's one of his properties used to house the poor people who came to the city seeking a better life.
It is his house as the inscription carved outside states but I don't believe he ever lived there- just owned it and had it built.
I read that the house he used to reside in became a fancy restaurant (and the food was amazing)
A week ago, I returned from my one month stay in Paris and I found myself thinking of you when visiting some of the places you visited before such as the Montmartre Cemetery and looking for art in streets, doors and beautiful parks such as the Jardin Des Plantes and Luxembourg. Thanks and I wish you continued success with your videos.
To be associated with Paris brings me great joy - thank you! Welcome back!
Thank you! I am sure these take some time to put together, the music and the words especially. again, it is like listening to a friend talk about their day and sitting with them over coffee or a beer/wine and feeling the emotion of the experience.
Your patience and encouragement is sooo appreciated!
Welcome back.
Thank you for being here!
Love all your videos! Will you be posting any more videos of your trip? In addition would love to hear your thoughts after your return home?
Thank you! I'll be posting my next video soon!
Yours are a big favorite! So relaxing and enjoyable. Like talking with a friend about a trip. :)@@wandersome
This warms my heart ❤️
Rode my bike out to this park. Terrifying ride but relaxing once I got to the lake. Have to say .. no women came up to me wanting to know if I was selling anything. I'm appalled that this happened to you .. I hope it didn't taint your love for Paris. -Daniel (Paris)
By now, my horror is mixed with laughter. I can at least tell the story without feeling ashamed. And no - my love for Paris has not waned in the least!
