Gift of Change
‘Gift of Change’ is an initiative by Paryavaran Mitra to provide art & craft skills to slum dwelling sisters. It enables them to manufacture handmade up-cycled products from the waste collected by the rag-picking sisters of the same community. We presently up-cycle plastic, tyres, wood, glass etc. into aesthetically beautiful products.
Paryavaran Mitra is an NGO based in Ahmedabad aimed at bringing holistic improvements in the life of rag-picking sisters using Solid Waste Management as a tool. In its last 6 years of operations, we have facilitated recycling of 2.8+million kgs of waste thereby bringing positive changes in the life of 350+ rag-pickers and their families in a deeper way.
