Finally! The snow's just about gone. All it needed was 7C and anout 70-ish mm of rain in a littele over a day. Maye a Hernö Old Tom, a Beresksten Botanical at 46% [their Old Tom doesn't seem to be available in Sweden]or a Harahorn dry gin (46%), not to mention #86075 Old English gin. Much mpore artisinal, less international giant stuff.

Water CAN get colder than 4C - how else would you explain ice? Salt water can even be liquid at minus 2, depending on the salinity; this is why the brackish Bay of Bothnia often freezes in winter. However, water doesn'r get denser on iether side of 4C (D2O - sic! - aka heavy water may differ).

Nice razor. Every modern Boker that's passed through my hands has needed to be honed & the bevel reset .After that they were great .I did find that they have a bit too much flex to give me comfortable results for my beard. Currently my favorite razors are & modern Theirs Issard 5/8 special coiffure & a vintage 13 /16 full hollow shoulder less silver steel marked made in solingen. Slightly stiffer blade with a very fine edge.

Great info! If you use tape though, the angle of the bevel is different than without it. The spine wears down naturally to keep the angle of the bevel correct. If you use tape only on the 1k stone, that increases the angle on the bevel. But if you don’t use it on the next steps, the stone is not touching all of the edge because the angle is suddenly different, so how will it then refine the edge?

Yea Canadian team coaches got a lot of pressure no matter how bad the team is. Pens fan - same boat. Doing better. They were so bad early in the season, i tuned them out. Our defense was the worst turning the puck over on our power play and giving up odd man short handed breaks among other things. Now they are doing a bit better. I may start watching again especially since the Steelers will likely lose this Sat. Stay sharp!

I found it way easier like totally night n day going from a 5/8 to a 7/8 the 7/8 just was so much easier to find the angle with and have control over Only have my 7/8 parker 522 now. But ordered a 9/8 s 3/4 s grind sheffield style square point with flat edge purpleheart wood scales You have so many gorgeus straight razors beautiful collection mate If you could only choose one for life what is it? Also the damascus from drew dick is san mai. Its laminated so damascus on the outside and the edge is core steel that i think is o1 as he uses mostly it absolutely gorgeus for sure

The pic of that Skipper guy reminds me of the dude on the original ZigZag Rolling papers pack.. Maybe i should try some of that fancy stuff one day. I just use some Gillette and after Straight razor shave put on Brute Original. that stuff looks really nice prob good for special outings. . Einstürzende Neubauten!, One of my favorites actually, Halber Mensch is my fav album.

Still a better shave than an Electric. I did shave my face with a stiletto switchblade before and even thats not quite this cool.

I Wish i had as many of razors as you. That is an amazing collection. I recently got a pretty cheap one from "Grand slam" Its actually pretty good for a 40$ one. But yours are like works of art. Thanks for sharing. What kind of Strop do you prefer to use?

Just started with a 5/8. Feels like a good choice for a beginner like me.

Agree with the 5/8-6/8 hollow grind for beginners. That’s how I started about a year ago. Went down the Gold Dollar route before branching out into vintage. Also you’ll want a home mister who knows that they are doing so you get a truly shave ready razor 👍
