This is a very cute journal decoration, makes me want to dig out my age-old letter beads. 😄 For the Weeks you could also string the elastic trough the hollow of the spine to make the elastic and join completely hidden, but that would mean that you can't take the beads off without cutting the string.

The "discoloration" is due to light. Over time, undied leather changes color as a reaction to UV rays, humidity, etc. Now this reaction varies from one piece of leather to the next because they're from different body parts or animals, but also because the light and those other factors hit them differently. Most of my undyed covers display this variety, which is just part of their beauty. Hope this helps.

Hello! Definitely agree with a lot of what you are saying here! Please could I ask what you are storing your PET tapes in? I think if I could see my samples in the way you have them stored I would use them a lot more!

I agree about the hobonichi covers. However much I might like a design, I know I would find it unbearable a few months down the line. I made the switch from the weeks (the planner i thought i just couldn't live without) to standard TN (sterling ink N1) and I am so happy! I loved being able to use my travelers company covers!

Love seeing your choices❤ I have the a5 hon black gingham for this year and it does fit into a cover yes. I had to swap out of mine when it came to April as it got too chunky and I just couldn't deal with writing on it anymore so I got an Avec in the end. I do love the hon black gingham and the look of it is lovely but it wasn't for mt needs. If you stick alot in your books it will get chunky/fluffy so depends what you like. Xxx

I felt the exact same around the green cover with all the illustrations on it - it's such a charming design but feel like I need to be able to personalise my stationery and for it to match my mood more consistently haha. How special that you got to go to the preview as well, feel like that would be a dream come true :)

This was my first TN. I’m not a fan of the black cover. Hoping to trade for the Tokyo Station (train) standard size.

I'm not sure I like the notebook, but the pencils and the charm are neat!

love this cover! blue is usually among my least favourite colours, but this shade is singlehandedly changing my mind about that :)) it would make a great reading journal, if you decide to go down that route! i don't journal while reading either, but i mark pages to go back to or write thoughts in my notes app and use those to fill in my journal sporadically. so glad you've found a use for the tokyo one too, though i appreciated your honest thoughts on it when you were unboxing it.
