Eco Game Farming Guide
Переглядів 26 тис.3 роки тому
A to the point guide on how to farm in Eco as of version 0.9.2.4 I forgot to cover the topic of overcrowding in the video. as this is an important question I'll add details here. overcrowding only seems to apply to wild plants. it will prevent wild growths from crowding a space but seems to have no impact at all to domestically planted crops. so for farming you can safely ignore this warning.

    As a new player that hasn’t played PC games since I was a kid, would I be right in thinking that this game translates well to a PS5 controller?

    • @NomadicNerdd
      @NomadicNerdd День тому

      I haven't tried a controller but I doubt it would work well. The mouse pointer provides an aiming location as well as determining the "height" of your aim. So mousing over a hilltop aims upward.

      @@NunyaBusiness... yes, and the term "clips" have become synonymous with guns, through colloquial language. When people say "clips" in a context related to guns, everyone still knows what they mean. I can also go to my local newsagent and buy magazines, so words can mean more than one thing, smart ass ;)

      @@SA80TAGE "Clips" are associated with guns because some guns actually use clips. Some guns in this game even use clips, not magazines. The M1 Garand is an example of a real firearm that uses clips. The ones he was showing when I made my post use magazines and not clips.

      @@NunyaBusiness... And? Everyone still knows what people MEAN when they say clips, so what's the problem? The stick up your ass is how "words have meaning" is it not? If someone still understands the meaning of the word what does it matter? Should I also specify I'm talking about guns everytime I use the word "magazine" since it's also a descriptor of something completely different? Like I said, Grow up, everyone knows, no-one cares, you absolutely were trying t be a dick and you know it, otherwise you wouldn't have said you're not trying to be one (same energy as people saying "no offense" before saying something absolutely offensive). I picked up a magazine yesterday, do I need to explain to you what I'm actually talking about?

    Why would you make a private stockpile when the frontlines need the supplies?

    • @NomadicNerdd
      @NomadicNerdd 2 місяці тому

      Mainly if you have plans for the supplies, like a group that's going to run a coordinated operation on a specific day. or if you're stockpiling resources to build something bigger like a tank or ship. Also private stockpiles let you pull stuff out exponentially faster. so if you're going to be the one delivering them to the front. quality of life is vastly improved.

Load it up, find a friendly logiman to hang out with ... couple hours and you will be pretty competent at the basics.

      Find a low collab server...or start your own. You can increase exp/star gain if you're the admin, so can make the free time you have, really count. Failing that, you can always do single player, but you will miss out on a lot of the community collaboration aspects. Good luck 😊

    Very nice info! Would love to see a video, or more, on guidlined for setting up: a government with established currency (if you're choosing to not barter right off the bat), setting a central spawn point, & monetary stipend (join the server get a startup money package, etc.). Anything you can think of to help guide how things can be done. I like to see so I know HOW to do it. If I'm left to struggle through how to figure it out: it is not my forte. Detailed help would be wonderful. To the point of the topic videos would be a godsend. Especially as I'm starting to really enjoy the game. I'd love to know how to create/improve the government side of society instead of "just" being another cog making it somehow function. You seem to have a strong grasp of it.

    How do you know what type of nutrients a plant needs other than just checking what gets depleted each time? Like if I want to plant beets how do I know what nutrients they like?

    • @NomadicNerdd
      @NomadicNerdd 2 роки тому

      I believe the Wiki has a low limit threshold and nutrient usage for each crop type, but I never really used it all that much. For the most part I just focused on pushing them towards 80% once a day providing emphasis on the nutrient that was lowest. Something of a juggle using different fertilizers, but as long as you don't let it get below the crops low threshold you're fine.
